Heebee Post #227 - James and Paul - Vallejo, CA - USA
Throughout the Heebee Resort, guests are practicing their moves and gettin' a groove on in their rooms before bustin' loose at the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge later in the evening.
James and Paul are are living it up again on the Island with this cool Dance Test postcard - just in time for the New Year celebration here, in the 4th Dimension. Thank you very much my friends and Happy 2010!

Heebee Post #226 - Shivablack (Angela Helmenstein) - Berlin - Germany
Occasionally, folks in the 3-D real world will receive letters like this from their loved ones vacationing in the 4th Dimension. One thing these letters all have in common is: I'm not coming back! And they really mean it! Most folks will travel to the 4-D Territories to rejoin their partners. Unfortunately, some will remain behind only to suffer great loss - never knowing the bliss they could be enjoying on Heebee Island.
Sound the Trumpets and bang the Island Drums! Islanders unfurl their banners as Shivablack returns to Heebee Jeebeeland with this poignant postcard, depicting the invisible line between triumph and grief in the known Dimensions. So happy to see you again old friend and Happy New Year to ya. Find her Mail Art collection here: Shivablack's ARTful. Thank you Angela and see you in the Mail!

Heebee Post #225 - Denise Hunley - Dallas, TX - USA
"A double shot of my Baby's Love". Can't get that old song out of my head now. Denise lowers the Love boom with these two extraordinary "Keeper of the Planets" patches. Inspiricy is a word I was not familiar with, but it certainly suits the 4th Dimension very well (The Dimension of Love). It means the opposite of conspiracy - hence: Planet of love. She has an Inspiricy/Planet of Love Mail Art project as well. Thank you very much Denise, I adore these patches and your cool vision of Unity and Peace. Her address is:

Heebee Post #224 - Bernhard Zilling - Berlin - Germany
"Oh, the tangled web we weave". The String Theory light show of the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge dance floor can really enhance the dancers moves as they writhe and gyrate to MC Thinkling's magic beat. A good time in the old house tonight as they warm up for the Grand New Years Eve Bash, here at the Island Resort, in just a couple of days from now.
The colors and configurations change constantly as new universes seem to pop-up and mutate into new realities. Island guests often have a difficult task of describing this sort of entertainment to their friends back home in the real 3-D world. Interestingly, Bernhard writes "Color = the 4th Dimension". When I lived in San Francisco, I remember a building at the United Nations Plaza (Hyde and Market Sts.) that had that very statement crazily spray-painted on it's back side. Since I walked by there often, I had great debates in my mind about what that could mean. Thanks Bernhard for this fascinating card and it is great to find you back on Heebee Island again. You can find more on this concept Artist here: Zilling Art.

Heebee Post #223 - Kit Gonzales-Moore - Albuquerque, NM - USA
A knowing, universal, cosmic grin illuminates the 4th Dimensional heavens this time of year and for good reason! Nearly every corner of the 3-D real world and the entirety of the almost incomprehensible 4-D Territories, have many ideas and notions for celebrating this Season of Love. Anybody want to leave a "Reason for the Season" in the comment section?
Welcome back to Heebee Jeebeeland Kit. Quickly becoming an Island favorite here, her splendid Artwork really shines in this beautiful Seasonal postcard. Love the way she displays the celestial snow on the reverse side. Roswell is certainly no stranger to the 4th. Thank you very much my lovely friend. Folks, if you would like to see more of what Kit is up to, try here: Kit's IUOMA page

Heebee Post #222 - Arnoldia-Pondidia International - Troy, NY - USA
Celebrating Winter Solstice on Heebee Island is a festive affair! When the light finally becomes more than the dark, a celebration should be in order. This has been a grand theme for humans (do animals sense it too?) - going back to the ancients. These 4-D rabbits are racing towards the light as if the dawning of a new era!
Arnoldia (Lynn Palmiter Jr.) and Pondidia (Elizabeth Zois - Her Grace, the Dak of Droll) send in this gorgeous Winter Solstice celebration card for the delight and amusement of Heebee Islanders everywhere. Get a load of those spectacular Artistamps! Doesn't the Dak look resplendent in her holiday regalia? You bet she does! Thank you very much my friends! PS: I received this super card on the actual day of the Winter Solstice, but could not post it until today because of my recent leg injury (which is still causing a few problems, but should vanish soon).

Heebee Post #221 - Snappy - Victoria, BC - Canada
"Break on through to the other side". What is important is what you do once you are on the "Other Side". Snappy valiantly encourages 4-D Islanders to "Build it up". This is a self improvement theme that Heebee Jeebeeland endorses fully. Bravo, Snappy, Bravo!
Oh that funny dance called Life! I love the spirit in which Snappy seems to dwell. I love his stylishly cavalier attitude, although I realize it is not for everybody. What might I be talking about? Try his website to find out: Snappy Service.
Studio J in Victoria, BC, has got to be a nearly magical place to visit. So much Art is generated from this wonderful place it has just got to be a beehive of prodigious activity. Check out the festooning of Artistamps covering the cards plastic envelope. And doesn't Snappy look just like the enigmatic Holger Czukay?

Heebee Post #220 - Coralette Damme (The Crafty Hag) - St. Petersburg, FL - USA
This great block print really brings a peaceful winter feeling to mind, but I just can't get over the "Portal to the 4th Dimension" thing. It is beautiful and shall proudly adorn the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge walls during the Holidays.
The Crafty Hag is back entertaining Heebee Islanders with her Happy Tree Friend dance and super Christmas card. Thank you very much Coralette and nice to see you back in the 4th Dimension. You can find her Mail Art spot here: Dread Lippencott's Menagerie.

Heebee Post #219 - David Aronson - Willow Grove, PA - USA
Don't squeeze the Toothpaste Lady! As a Greeter here on the Island, she enjoys a good hug, but a tight embrace can shift her body into her face - as seen above.
The "Shadows" that wander the 4th Dimension can sometimes follow a visitor as they stroll about the jungle. It can be disquieting to suddenly find yourself with an extra shadow - especially one as handsome as this fellow. David's Mail Call asks us to acknowledge the attributes within ourselves that we are unconscious of, in the form of your "Shadow". Thanks for the lovely smooshy lady David and welcome to Heebee Island.

Heebee Post #218 - Eduardo Cardoso - Sines - Portugal
The Devils were unmasked to me....... These "Devils" work very hard in the 3-D real world, but they get burnt out and tired too. The 4th Dimension offers a vacation destination for them as well and occasionally a guest, here on the Island, will run into one of their demons that are on vacation here at the same time. These 3-D real world creeps, who are just normal other guests here, want no trouble in the 4th Dimension and may even smile sheepishly when seen by their victims.
These torn pages from Eduardo's Island vacation journal tell a tale of just such an encounter. They even became as friends for a short while! The 4th Dimension is an astonishing place!
Eduardo returns to Heebee Island with this delightful anecdote of the ironic fun that can be found here in the 4th Dimension. Thank you very much Eduardo, the Islanders got a kick out of this one. He runs the Paranormal Mailart site.

Heebee Post #217 - Monica Rex - Los Angeles, CA - USA
Exploration into the vast Trans-4-D Frontier wilderness continues to reveal the existence of many curious peoples and their culture and rituals. "The Divination of the Birdlings" is a very rare sight to behold and the Expedition was astounded to witness this unusual event.
Nice to see Monica in the 4th Dimension - especially with this beautiful surreal and action-packed postcard. Love this card! Thank you very much. It sure has the 4th Dimensional look and feel that we are rather fond of here on the Island.

Heebee Post #216 - Art Tower (Gunter Schwind) - Aschaffenburg - Germany
Heebee Scientists are commemorated with this great looking Heebee Territories Artistamp from my cousin Arty. This 4-D Scientist sure looks busy. After all, there must be a lot to explain about the 4th Dimension!
Gunter is quite familiar with the 4th Dimension. He actually visited here last September from Germany and the two Towers had a lot of fun together. He may just return next Spring for the Mail Art show. I'll keep my fingers crossed! Great to see you here, on the Island again my dear friend. Find his Mail Art site here: Art Tower Mail.

Heebee Post #215 - Russell Manning - Dallas, TX - USA
Ever get the feeling someone or something is watching you? Exploration deep into the Trans-4-D Frontier has revealed a plethora of odd life forms. Here we are shown plant-life that can actually see you. Others can hear you. These plants serve as a sort of team for the main part of the plant that can capture and digest it's prey. The vast and often perilous Frontier is not for the novice hiker.
Russell's return to the 4th Dimension is good news for Island Botanists. This is the first picture of a verified plant "Gang Member" to be shown to Heebee Scientists. There is some speculation that they may be able to communicate with the "Heads" of these organized plant systems. Nice to see you here again Russell and thanks for your interesting Art.

Heebee Post #214 - Stan Askew - Pasadena, CA - USA
"I've got these arms and legs - they flip-flap, flip-flap". My friend Jennifer Zoellner once wrote that Heebee Jeebeeland is "A place where beauty dances with horror". Oh, how right she was. Careful with that birdseed Eugene. The birds of the 4th Dimension can occasionally be "The Birds" of Alfred Hitchcock fame.
Stan's "Crazy for the birds" made a touchdown on Heebee turf. Yeah, I'm crazy for the birds too Stan. The 8 man returns to the 4th Dimension with his uniquely cool brand of postcard Art, much to the delight of the Islanders. Thank you very much. Find more of this Artist here: Askew Photo and Art.

Heebee Post # 213 - Frips - Gent - Belgium
"The Hounds of the Heebeevilles". Yes, there is some Aristocracy in the 4-D Territories and the Heebeeville's Family feature prominently among them. These stout and intelligent creatures are raised exclusively on the fog shrouded Heebeeville Moors.
Frips returns to Heebee Island with this glorious picture of the noble beasts she has grown to love. Thank you very much my friend. Love that interesting Belgian postage too. Her Mail Art always has a great feel to it. You can find her holding court here: Frips Mail Art.
Heebee Post #212 - Richard Canard - Carbondale, IL - USA
For some reason, I was thinking of Richard as I collected my mail this morning and lo, this is what I came across. He writes regarding Postmaster Kerry Jeffrey in Cornelius Oregon. I have to say, it is quite interesting to read the thoughts and musings of an actual Postmaster in his great blog: Art of the Postcard. He is displaying Mail Art sent to him inside the Post Office there. I agree Richard, it is a beautiful thing and I shall go there in January and take some snaps for this Blog. I did send something "a la Test Tower" for his display just after I received this heads up, today.
Canard is an interesting fellow and is very popular here, on the Island. As if a Mail Art Hemingway, you may like his work or not, but it is difficult to argue with his points. Thank you very much Richard, it is always a pleasure to have you in the 4th Dimension.

Heebee Post #210 - Pedro Bericat (Mute Sound) - Zaragoza - Spain
The "Oracles of Sound" stand fascinatingly elegant as Guardians of the Holy Noise that supplies the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge late night crowd with the heavy Trance-Fusion dance phenomena that is becoming rather popular these days.
Pedro makes his debut on Heebee Island with this exotic hypno-vision postcard. It has an eternal-like alluring beauty that is difficult for Islanders to look away from. It is a beauty and has an odd 4-D feel to it. Very nice! Pedro requests 1 minute of "Audio Autohypnosis" for CD compilation. Mail-Sound-Art. I really dig this sort of thing and have some (a lot of ) experience in this type of Art. I will be sending a minute of Test Tower "Sonic Drift" off to Mute Sound for their interesting project. Thank you Pedro - see you in the Mail!

Heebee Post #209 - Stan Askew - Pasadena, CA - USA
This little "Money Doll" is one of the many prizes to be won at the Heebee Arcade Parlor that is adjacent to the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge area. The doll produces hologram dollars that appear to fly about the room. Although these prizes were designed for children, the adults have a lot of fun with them as well.
Stan is back on Heebee sand with this interesting "Prize" postcard. Nice to have you back old friend. Been missing these well-crafted cards by the "8" man. Well known in the 4th Dimension, a grand time is usually enjoyed by all when Stan makes an appearance here. Thank you very much. Find out more about this Artist: Askew Art

Heebee Post #208 - Katerina Nikoltsou - Thessaloniki - Greece
Happy Birthday IUOMA! This monumental 1 year birthday of the Mail Artists Union was happily celebrated on the 13th of November. Unfortunately I was stricken with the H1N1 Flu at the time and missed it all (I am better now - miserable experience - don't get it!). Thank you Ruud Janssen for your efforts in making IUOMA a fantastic place for Mail Artists. Check it out here: IUOMA
Wonder where the 1939 World Expo went? A casual walk through the tall Blue Grass of the Heebee Swamp will reveal it's current whereabouts. Some things wrought in the 3-D real world were cosmically meant to be here, in the 4th Dimension. There are exquisite relics to be found all over the Island.
This beautiful large poster declares the "No to Violence - Yes to Creativity" Mail Art Show in Thessaloniki. You can find out more about this current showing here: Sketbe Mail Art
This was actually two submissions from Katerina. The Grecian postage stamps are just gorgeous too! Thank you very much for these and I love that Sketbe Poster for the show. Very cool!

Heebee Post #207 Wilma Duguay - Bonaventure, Quebec - Canada
"It's a Sailor's life for me". This splendid Seaman's portrait is part of the Documentation from Wilma's Mail Call "The Sea Exhibition". The Mail Art was shown in Port Daniel at the L' Etale Restaurant. Not sure who the Artist for this particular piece is, but it is superb, as many others on the CD Doc were as well.
Thank you very much Wilma. Many beautiful submissions and the Documentation is nicely done. You can find her online here: The Sea Exhibition.

Heebee Post #206 - Servane Morel - Brussels - Belgium
"Some things get started by other things starting - Like fingers snapping at a Beatnik party"! Man, dig that crazy beat! The Confuse-a-Tron Lounge stage boasts the best musical performances in the Heebee Territories. Here you can see the band roaring into the crowd pleasing " Hymn of Heebee Jeebeeland". Nobody is sitting still at this point as the tables empty out onto the dance floor!
Servane shows that she has her finger on the pulse of Heebee Island with her spectacular Cool Cat Jazz postcard. It is a beauty! Shoo baba doo bop! Love it! Thank you very much! If you would like to see her very hip Mail Art site, check here: Lettres d'Ailleurs.

Heebee Post #205 - Adamandia Kapsalis - Chicago, IL - USA
"Reality is Overrated". One of the more popular tee-shirts folks take back home from their 4th Dimension holiday. These thought provoking shirts are among many delights found in Heebee shops and boutiques.
Adamandia returns to the 4th Dimension in contemporary Heebee stylishness with these Fab tee-shirt designs. And check out that "O-Fish-L" rubber stamping. Sweet! Enchanted by her arrival, Islanders are grinning and trading is markedly up. Thank you so much Adamandia. She has two Mail Art sites to consider participating in: A Fishy Requisite and Synaptic Patina.

Heebee Post #204 - Katerina Nikoltsou - Thessaloniki - Greece
Autumn in the eye-popping part of the Heebee Jungle known as the "Fire Forest" is nothing short of a feast for the senses in every direction. The 4th Dimension continues to prove itself to be an incredibly diverse realm to explore for both the novice and the experienced adventurer.
I love the way in which rain has obscured this colorful envelope. Beautiful! Those IUOMA portraits are superb as well. Thank you very much Katerina. Since you are once more on Island shores, let's have a good time in the old Resort tonight! She is quite involved with the Greek Mail Art Show: "No to Violence - Yes to Creativity".
