D.C.'s classic Mail Art Geisha having problems with the Mail Art she is receiving. On closer inspection you can find some pretty robust Mail Art characters names. I had just been reading John Held Jr's accounting of Guglielmo Achille Cavellini (see his famous sticker above, in the center) - fascinating and incredible! Spaulding's postcards are sometimes rich with Fluxus, Dada and Mail Artist commemoration. Gotta love it!
Take a moment to read about this enigmatic, amazing, confounding and lovable Mail Artist/Fluxist from the annals of Mail Art History here: Cavellini 1914 - 2014.
Heebee Island is always very happy to have DC and his work here on the Island. You can see a nice slice of Who's Who in the Mail Art pie within this well-known card. Thanks for carrying the torch my friend - love this card.

Heebee Post #335 - Super Aska - Maylands, Western Australia - Australia
Super Aska has an interesting Art scheme. Ambitious too. The above piece is only a small part of the original painting that is now distributed to other Artists worldwide in an "Invisible Exhibition". Sounds like 4th Dimension thinking to me!
I have seen Aska around the IUOMA site and she is very likable and enthusiastic (although I haven't actually met her except now, through this Mail). If you would like to participate in this unusual affair with her - email your address to her - aska.doll@gmail.com. Or, you can see what else this fine Artist has been doing here: Super-Aska Art. Thank you very much Aska and welcome to the 4th Dimension.

Heebee Post #334 - RCBz - Saint Cloud, Minnesota - USA
"I know, let's put a hat on him"! Owning a Kafka-like "Ungeziefer" (an unusual insect pet found here on the Island) can be a delightful experience. Here, we see a couple having fun with their new pet "bug" in the hat department of a Heebee Resort Boutique. Doesn't their charming friend look swanky now?
RCBz returns to the Island with another outstanding Heebee postcard. These cards are of a beautiful construction and high quality. Very nice for the 4th Dimension. I love the hungry walking hand on the reverse side as well. Thank you very much my friend. Something should be appearing in your post box soon!

Heebee Post #333 - Adamandia Kapsalis - Chicago, Illinois - USA
Procuring a crouton for a Brain Salad can be a messy culinary business. This tasty treat will not be found on the menu in the Confuse-A-Tron Lounge restaurant, as it is only for very special occasions and is quite expensive for obvious reasons.
Adamandia bares her wicked sense of humor with this dark yummy treat postcard. Islanders have been joking about this all morning. Thank you very much Adamandia. You can check her fun MA sites here: A Fishy Requisite and Synaptic-Patina. Keep an eye out for something from the 4th in the Mail Box my friend.

Heebee Post #332 - Art Tower (Gunter Schwind) - Aschaffenberg - Germany
"Tourist on the border" is what Cousin Arty's lovely postcard reads. Gunter sends in this commemorative card that recalls his wonderful trip to the 4th Dimension last summer. His card refers to the Dimensional border that separates the Heebee Territories from the 3-D real world. You can see my dear cousin in his motorcycle attire on the left - a special outfit for his festive vacation here.
Everybody here in the 4th is expecting Gunter to return to Heebee Island later in the year. We sure hope this exciting rumor is true. An interesting itinerary awaits him when he does. The Island rolls out the red carpet for those adventurous enough to make the trip here. Love the Gingerbread Man coming alive from the textile pattern and the cool Artistamps. Find Gunter operating his Mail Art control center here: Art Tower Mail Art.

Heebee Post #331 - Sharon Kennick - Flagstaff, Arizona - USA
"Cathedral of the Ancients". An ancient site of worship in the Fauxreal Republic - Sharon Kennick's realm of interest. You can really get the feel of a spiritual upheaval here - very active goings on, like staring into the open maw of a busy ethereal volcano. I'll put the brochures for this place on the Heebee Resort info table - a nice day trip from the Island!
Sharon Kennick is a lively and happy soul with a lot of zeal for what she does. I really like this other-worldly card, I just wish I could display it properly here - it is better seen in person. Welcome to the 4th Dimension my friend - I'll be sending something to you and Kris soon. You can find Sharon holding court in her very feel good Art blog here: Divine She Studio. Thank you very much my talented friend.

Heebee Post #330 - Richard Canard - Carbondale, Illinois - USA
Ladies and gentlemen, Richard Canard! After an apparent hiatus (cavorting and Lotus sniffing in his Heebee Territory Island retreat), Richard emerges as brilliantly as ever - (4th Dimension management will have to take care of his spending rampage however- as usual).
Richard confides that he was invited to speak at an Art Tourism and Mail Art class at the local community college. He says he brushed up on his Ray Johnson and Fluxus and "all that jazz"; but when he arrived, all they wanted to talk about was "Test Tower this and Test Tower that".
Richard continues to report that soon they began chanting and singing something about yours truly and became enthusiastically engaged in building several ersatz towers in the classroom. Oh, the reverence - I'm blushing!
Richard even declares that he happily joined in the frenzy. Now, I feel like I should build a "Canard" in reciprocation! Richard, I tip my hat old man!
The "Thomas Kinkade Complex" - perfect! The Island is, as is their custom, in a merry commotion with the return of Richard's unique Mail Art. This is quite a treat for the Locals because wherever Richard goes around here, fun is sure to follow. Thank you very much my friend, nice to see you here again! See you in the mail.

Heebee Post #329 - Marianne Laimer - Viklau, Gotland - Sweden
Passengers disembarking from Trans-Dimensional flights can become temporarily disoriented. No need for despair. Directions for Island destinations can be obtained either visually or audibly. No need to ever despair in the 4th my friends!
Marianne is back on Heebee sand with another gorgeous mind treat of a postcard. I like the kissable appeal of the "Direction Sentry" standing ever vigilant at the Dimension entrance. Sweet! Thank you very much Marianne, this is a great submission. Find out more of what she is up to here. Den Skupturala Boken.

Heebee Post #328 - Keith Buchholz (Fluxus St. Louis) - St. Louis, Missouri - USA
Yes, this is an actual published song. A younger Louis and his "Hot Five" sound great as they get plenty funky with this number: PLAY. Sounds pretty darn Heebee Jeebee to me. Even in the 4th Dimension - who doesn't like Louis Armstrong?Nice to see Keith back on the Island. Keith and a mob of merry Fluxists recently had a grand time of it in NYC at the Stendhal Gallery, the Emily Harver Foundation Gallery, Printed Matter and various establishments that would tolerate them. Heh. It is certainly a pleasure to see the wonderful camaraderie they all displayed. I know, I would have enjoyed being there - blast it!. Get an insiders view and check out the fun these creative Artists have when left to their own devices: "NEW YORK 2010". A lot of the usual suspects were there and in great form! Thank you very much Keith - for the card and the antics!
Heebee Post #327 - Frips - Gent - Belgium
I got a double bubble from Frips in the last few days! These cards have a great hand carried through the Heebee Jungle appeal and I love 'em. She has a signature style and, if it must be known, she is one of my favorite Mail Artists. She captures that Heebee Jeebee look very well.
Invariably, Frips likes to put her Belgian postage over the edge of her postcards giving it an odd sort of hurried and frantic appearance - especially nice for the 4th Dimension! Her carved block prints are always interesting and fun and I have a nice collection of them. Thank you very much my friend - you'll be seeing me in the Post soon. Find her popular site here: Frips Mail Art .

Heebee Post #326 - Marni Zainodin - Cameron Highlands, Pahang Darul Makmur - Malaysia
Heebee daydreams are made of this stuff. Real flowers join a watercolor Rose and real butterfly wings in this phantasmagorical scene of a lone 4th Dimension visitor's wonderful sleeping vision.
I really am enjoying Marni's exotic flora and fauna postcard. Very 4th Dimension and I love it! Thank you very much my friend. You can view her great artwork here: Marni's Creations.

Heebee Post # 325 - Beli Zlaticanin - Podgorica - Montenegro
This interesting communique from Mail Artist Beli Zlaticanin arrived this weekend in the 4th Dimension, although it was postmarked 02/16/2010 - Two months to get here! This decorated envelope is nice and sincerely obscure. It's great Beli, thank you very much and welcome to Heebee Jeebeeland my friend. See you in the mail sooner than later.

Heebee Post #324 - Gik Juri - Pushkino - Moscow Area - Russia
Juri's Dadahomeya Kit #4 project involves creating a sort of elaborate fantasy state - Dadahomeya - complete with a postcard from that domain. He explains a history of this above in his very informative Mini-Fluxus Kit -Manifesto. The character on the Artistamp is called "Heebee Jeebee". Boy, did he come to the right place!
Welcome to the 4th Dimension Juri. Glad Heebee Jeebee could make it to Heebee Jeebeeland! Love the Dadahomeya Republic logo too. I have to confess that I received this interesting Fluxus Kit about a month ago by registered mail. I put it aside in a special place to attend to it promptly - ugh - and forgot until I found it today! For that I must apologize - and to make up for it, I will send a special package of fun in return. Thank you very much Juri. See ya in the mail.

Heebee Post #323 - Eduardo Cardoso - Sines - Portugal
The Laboratory Bar inside the Confuse-A-Tron Lounge can surely concoct a legendary cocktail. The Bartenders here are skilled, inventive and open-minded. It does get a bit messy behind the scenes during the Happy Hours.
"The Pelvic Intravenous Similar Distance Network" is what the computer translated the above to say. I always wondered what that would look like. Nice one Eddie!
Nice to have Eddie and the Paranormal Art ensemble operating back in the 4th Dimension again. Nicely decorated envelope too - with a very cool Artistamp and a fabulous Portuguese postage stamp as well. Thanks very much my friend. You can find Eduardo in his Paranormal Mail Art chamber working his magic. Thursday, April 15, 2010
Heebee Post #322 - Jennifer Zoellner - St. Petersburg, Florida - USA
This visual feast of Mail Art finesse arrived this morning festooned with interesting Artistamps (always a touch of class). A super highlight is the light hearted "Wanted for Mail Art Fraud" stamp featuring an adorable Jenn sporting a campy mustache. And check out the wicked fun U.S. Postage! Super 4-D appeal!
I sure like the initial look of this Add & Pass - Just me and JZ so far - I'm sending it on to some unsuspecting soul after I first finish another copy to make a cool scientific postcard from it for my own collection. It's been a while since Jennifer has visited the 4th Dimension Territories and her arrival here has sparked off a festive mood among the Locals. Her "South Fluxus" sticker is great: "One pill and you are in Floridada. Please enjoy irresponsibly"! Nice! Thank you very much my old friend. She runs the popular Mail and Sketch 2010 and Ur Toy Story" MA site.

Heebee Post #321 - Wilma Duguay - Bonaventure, Quebec - Canada
Wilma arrives in on Heebee Island via an unusual and daring, but utterly delightful, canoe journey. This is a gorgeous submission and I love, love, love it! Just imagine Wilma paddling away in her durable red canoe, under a mind boggling 4-D cosmic sky. Not to mention over a 4-D Sea of wonder, teeming with aquatic life.
It's no secret that Wilma has a great affinity for the ocean and the Art seen above proves it. Personally, I kind of know how she feels - I could never live too far from the coast. The bizarre irony of it is that I get something that feels like claustrophobia if I am too far inland for too long. I know, this makes no sense, but that's the way it is for me. So, right on Wilma!
This lovely lady also sent these Canadian Olympic stamps and an official pin from the Vancouver 2010 international affair (not shown). These are beautiful and will fit in nicely with my large collection.

Nice to have you back in the 4-D Territories my dear Wilma. Thank you very much for goodies and the Art. I see she has a PC (tictac) Artistamp on the envelope. You'll find more of PC's art in the following posting (#320). Wilma has a Oceanic themed blog: The Sea Exhibition. This was a fun package to receive - thanks again my friend.
Heebee Post #320 - PC (TICTAC) - Starnberg - Germany
What a great method of documentation for a Mail Art Call. This one is for the popular "Bubbles" project that ended recently. The fact that it is displayed in a swimming pool is ingenious. This is a big A-4 size and very well and interestingly done.
It's nice to get such lovely documentation results - especially in large very decorated envelopes. Lots of fabulous Artistamps and colorful German postage adorn this smart package. Thank you very much Patrizia, it was fun participating in your playful project. If you would like a look at the "Bubbles" collection - check here: PC (tictac) Bubbles.
Heebee Post #319 - Ahmet Demir - Izmir - Turkey
Wow! It is difficult to reproduce the grandeur of this 4 piece envelope ensemble. The print quality is fantastic and somehow it is plasticized on one side only. Brilliant and vibrant and quite superb. Have to take my hat off to this Mail Art marvel.
A stunning debut for Ahmet in the 4th Dimension. This submission is beautiful and Heebee Jeebeeland is agog with it's splendor! The Turkish postage and that provacative Artistamp are splendid as well. Thank you very much Ahmet - We, here at the 4-D Art Institute, absolutely adore your work. We'll be seeing you in the mail my friend.

Heebee Post #318 - Peter Dowker - Lac-Brome - Quebec - Canada
You can see that this fellow has a new spring in his step and so can you! With many new designs to choose from, you will be proud to stroll the Heebee Beaches again after a quick makeover. Be as creative as you dare - take advantage of the Island Resort's Beauty Facilities and ensure that your stay here is a memorable one.
Welcome back to the Heebee Territories Peter. Peter's arrival to the Island has put the Locals in a festive mood with this super Postcard. "Science Redesigns" have become more popular than tattoos for the visitors and why not? Thanks Peter, for helping to define the new cool here in the 4th Dimension! This card is large, sturdy and beautiful - I love it! Peter has a very popular Mail Art site: Flip Flop Mail Art.

Heebee Post #317 - Brad Baucom (Fluxus Dakota) - Deadwood, South Dakota - USA
Ever get that feeling? Not too thrilled with your Art lately and not sure what is wrong? When that creepy "What is Art anyway" notion come's a callin'? It's Art Detox time! This great campaign, to save our fellow Artist's minds, has reached even the 4th Dimension. So folks, don't forget to take a break once in a while!
Nice to see ya in the 4th Brad. His return to the Island yields a very practical point. With Brad's help, Mail Artists will be Art Detoxing all over the world. This is a classic postcard and a terrific Fluxus campaign. Thank you very much Brad. What else is he up too? Find out: Live 2B Art.

Heebee Post #316 - ??? - Minneapolis, Minnesota - USA
"The Lost Labor of Hercules" - now playing in the Confuse-A-Tron Lounge, is quite a stage production. Here we see an immodestly attired Herc attempting to be noticed by this humble village girl.
The audience soon turns into a riot of laughter when it is revealed that the young woman is being played by Marty Feldman. The joke is on Hercules when he finds he is even more enamored by her unusual beauty!Wish I knew who the Mail Artist is for this. I did inquire to the email address found on the card. Anyway, thank you very much my anonymous friend and welcome to the 4th Dimension.
