Dmitry drops by the Affair with this magnificent Fluxus 'glyph'. It is large (A4) and has a great Dada nobility to it. The construction is of a robust masonry nature and is almost like a section of mysterious ancient wall. This is a fantastic work by the veteran Mail Artist. I absolutely love this piece and I shall mount it above my Art desk. It is exquisite. Bravo!
The very large envelope arrived completely without any bending! This alone is astonishing. Great job Postal people! And thank you very much for this wonderful Fluxus Affair submission Dmitry. Every time I look at these characters, I have to smile. Who is having more fun than these guys? Carmelleta visits the Affair with this fun and happy times postcard. Nice outfits fellas!
I had just met Carmeletta at the IUOMA site and noted that she is the owner of a super bead store "Beads Forever" in Portland - on Hawthorne (one of my favorite streets) no less. I will definitely be visiting that place in the future. Thank you very much Carmeletta - great to be friends!

Stan shows up on the Affair with this 'distressed to the point of distraction' Dada Bunny card. The 'Eight Man' strikes again with this Johnson-esque bunny dissolvement. The quality of postcard crafting is very high with Stan. And this one is a beauty!

I have had this exquisite little art booklet from Patrizia for nearly two weeks, but until now, no battery for the camera. This is a remarkable little 3-d cover zine "Once in a Red Moon". Although PC packaged it very thoughtfully, it still required a bit of unbending by it's new owner.
Some of the great pages found inside. This little booklet has a happy aura to it as does it's creator PC. She is definitely one of the nicest and clever Mail Artists and a pleasure to know - and her art is fabulous!
Glad you are here, on the Affair PC. I enjoyed that little zine very much. I'm still working on something to send for her Mail Art Call: "Message in Bottle". I'll solve what to send very soon my friend. Thank you very much and see you in the mail!

It is customary for William to concoct a annual Halloween card and this is the current one. Fantastic! He requested that I make one as well for exhibition on his Mail Art site Addressee. My cousin Arty is back on the Affair and poses this odd little Fluxian conundrum on us.
I am always very happy to find Gunter's postcards in the post box. He is a good friend and a great co-conspirator for a wacky fun time. We have flown a few missions together and, hopefully, we shall meet up again here in December if Gunter is able to take a vacation. Keepin' my fingers crossed old man! Eddie's visit to the Affair is replete with 'Fluxus Heiroglyphics' in the piece above. We don't call him 'ZenDada' Cardoso for nothing folks. Great Dada appeal here Eddie. A wonderful 'Affair' submission.
This jubilant fellow is soaring on the wings of optimism and it feels good just to just gaze at him. I really would like to follow him along for a bit just to bathe in those good vibes for a short while.

The above card was sent into the Affair by my incredible friend and neighbor that lives about 150 yards away from me. Richart is a local celebrity and maintains an 'Art Yard' which is about an acre in size and surrounds his entire home. He is a very prolific sculptural artist and painter and has many visitors everyday. We are very close friends and sometimes pull off interesting 'art stunts' together.
This is a card that I made in 2009 for the 4th Dimension Territories Project. That is Richart seen here with one of his many creations of which his enormous yard is inhabited with. He is unique and lovable and I'm sure glad I got to show him off here, on the Affair. Thank you very much my old friend. Anybody a little more curious about this unusual artist? Katerina's latest visit to the Affair uses Fluxus visions of the 1957 classic "An Affair to Remember". This happens to be one of my favorite films. It does not get any more romantic than the heart wrenching ending of this marvelous and enduring tale. Great card!
Lovely Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant Fluxusized into another splendid card! Katerina sure got the romantic and intriguing spirit of the Affair right with this pair of beauties!

Roland visits the Affair with this superb little Artistbook documenting his "Art Carree" mail art project. Roland has assembled a modular composition on the page to the left and the corresponding artists pick all or one of the panels to reassemble in their own style on the right. In the above case, the distinctive style of guest artist Fraenz Frisch (Luxembourg). Nice job Fraenz!
The unassuming cover for the little Doc-Zine "Kunst"? ("Art"?) 14 Artists from around the world - all are quite good - some brilliant (see Spathi's below). Although the little artistbook is rather small, it does give a lovely glimpse of what must have been a very enjoyable exhibition.
Litsa Spathi's work (Netherlands) always takes me by surprise. I love her Fluxus Poetry approach and she is beginning to influence my work. Great stuff!
Here, Roland hosts the lively guest artist Servane Morel (Belgium). This one is just bursting with glee! Nice interpretation Servane. Gorgeous!
Also included in the envelope were these cool Johnson-esque Bunny Artiststamps.
Thanks very much for the Documentation Artistbook Roland - I enjoyed it very much. I'm sure everyone who saw that exhibition in Schweinfurt must have seen a good show. Life size, these must have been a knockout! Glad to have you on the Affair. Cow-Bees and Indians? No, just Cow-Bees heavy buzzing 'round a Peony. Dosankodebbie's beautiful Etegami laminated card is a humorous observation of nature. She is really perfecting her art and I am a huge fan of her work. These Etegami 'observations' are relevant to daily life and austere and invariably possess a happy and kind spirit that displays her love for the 'little things'. They are great. What is a Peony? A flowering plant native to Asia.

Ross's new visit to the Affair includes this poignant little booklet "Mail Art's Eternal Network" (2001). There are many submissions from various artists, but the main deal here is Vittorre Baroni's brilliant take on what makes Mail Art tick. A fascinating effort, edited and produced by none other than the Sticker Dude (Joel Cohen). What you see above is the cover. I have always loved the term "The Eternal Network" for Active Mail Artists.
This is the reverse cover and includes a synopsis of what occurs within. This fine publication may be nearly 10 years old, but it remains a very smart treatise on the disposition of the genre. Well done fellas!An 'Add & pass' with just Ross and myself so far. This one will be back in the mail very soon.- on to the next person. This is the cover for "GAR" #60 - a little zine-ish publication by Bentspoon (Ross). This one includes Litsa Spathi, Cascadia Artpost (cover) and Ross himself.
You can see Ross's rubber stamped image here saying "Calgary DX Club". He was intrigued by my collection of "DX" and "QSL" rubber stamps from all over the world - I have many - (see Post #391). These handsome rubber stamps are from the 50's 60's and 70's and were used by Ham radio operators around the globe. Art Tower was visiting from Germany last year when he and myself (the two Towers) found these in the attic of an obscure antique store. Thank you very much Ross - that Eternal Network booklet is very cool - very glad to have it. I suppose a salute to Barorni and the Sticker Dude is in order as well.
