 The vibrant cohesion of miscellaneous colored fabrics and various bits and scraps comprises Janet's fabulous "Official Mail Art".  It has an odd nautical feel to it somehow, as if it was found at low tide along a distant shore. Great job Janet, it is stunning!  I also like the declaration of being in IUOMA as well.

Janet's work is invariably a feast for the eyeballs and this one does not disappoint!  I do notice a bit of an evolution to her work - it gets better and better. This postcard is very fine work - in case you are wondering, it is actually a print, not the usual 3-D style I have seen before. This makes it more of a standard like postcard - a beautiful one. I like the new style J. See you in the new years mail!

 The lovely Hag sends in this beautiful seasonal well wishing card. I am really enjoying the jellied Cosmonaut Santa drifting through a decorative Christmas universe. Where are you going Santa? "Far, far away".......

Tucked into the gorgeous card was this interesting destiny divulging device.  I think Kong, on top of the Empire State Building, yelling "Happy New Year" with his screechy ol' growl  - and tossing down crunchy, buzzing party favors at midnight - is a grand way to herald in the new year!

 A festive Yuletide greeting from Norbert plays upon the glory of expense to satisfy the noble notion of Christmas!

 Norbert's "Working Worlds" mail art call documentation for his showing in Sweden.  This is a four page (A4) booklet that is nicely fashioned with photos from the event as well as all the participants.

 I have exchanged a few things with Norbert but did not realize he had a mail call. I wish I would have known, so I could have been part of the fun as well as on this fabulous list of artists.  Ah well, next time.

Thanks Norbert, I love well made documentation - I am working on the Fluxus Affair documentation just now myself - It takes forever and is a mountain of work - so usually I have respect and admiration (if done properly) for it. See ya in the mail old chum.

 Austin's "Synchronicity" is encased in lamination and really looks super in person. The notion of synchronicity has always intrigued me and I have experienced some of the odd and wonderful phenomena myself!

 Rodni is observing the season with this interestingly odd holiday imagery. It does seem to have a certain joy to itself - even if it is, perhaps, depicting our realm of existence (the reality of night and day in the center) surrounded by an 'irreality' or a dimension we cannot achieve from here (barbed wire on the left and thorns on the right). The universe of the human condition. Brilliant card - great job!

I really like the New Year's card Marni has sent in . It is actually  a lovely altered calender for 2012.   It's kind of funny that I have recently been looking for Marni's address to send her a Holiday Fluxus Card that I have made. Ever wonder what the senders are really like? I have always received good vibes from Marni and instinctively have always liked her. Do you folks ever wonder?  I think that is half the fun of mail art!

Gangway! D.C. reports that the only way to save all of his mail art was to use a small bulldozer to relocate some of it to new creative developments around the property. Hey, I think I can see mine in that pile! How about you folks out there? - Is it difficult to throw away a collection of mail art?  I find it rather impossible and  I, like DC, will just have to resort to some drastic measures of saving things. This is hilarious DC - Get-R-Done!

I have a lovely collection of his cards from years past and this one is a beauty! Wow! I love this merry post mortem New years Eve party scene. Kind of reminds me of  the old Grateful Dead New Years Parties.  I was unable to properly scan the tough to capture glitter. It is quite glimmery in person. Nicely constructed with a plastic shield sewn the around the entire perimeter.  Very festive - Phoenix rocks! - we are anticipating a fun time here in Heebee Jeebeeland for the New Years as well!

 Love the reverse side of this magnificent piece. The Tim Burton lettering is always a kind of happy/freaky (Nightmare Before Christmas). Thank you very much Billie - Love this beautiful and entertaining card. Be seeing you in the mail with my new Happy Fluxus Holidays seasonal greeting card!

I hope this doesn't mean that this well-known mail artist has had a bad experience at the race track! I once sold my 1965 Chevy El Camino for betting money - I was convinced I had a winner. Yeah, I've had "Horses on the brain" too!
This piece is trademark Askew. The dark 1cent postage as a sort of timeless border with a dose of the oddly hauntingly familiar within. His meticulous craftsmanship and style is easily distinguishable and identifiable as uniquely his. I played Canasta as a child -and, although I can't remember the rules of the 1950-60's card game, I think it was fun!
Stan also included this lovely 1938 postcard of Rainbow Falls in the Great Smokey Mountains. If you look carefully, you can spot the lone hiker near the bottom of the falls.
Stan was also magnanimous enough to send me these two startling beauties for my cloth-fibre vintage postcard collection. Both cards are in extreme mint condition and have a nice lustre to them. Sweet!
With all this cool stuff was short note of friendship. I appreciate that Stan - Thank you very much! I've just sent you a holiday Fluxus card my friend and have a fun 2012!

Sometimes compared to it's distant cousin, The Colossus of Rhodes, Soldier's Point Lighthouse on Heebee Jeebee Island was quite an attraction for the locals. Brilliantly designed by the early shipwrecked visitors of the Island - out of hardened sand and seaweed - it was an engineering marvel until the restless tides eventually brought it down.
Yes, you are correct Roy, the image of the old lighthouse is rare. The old print could bring a tidy sum at auction! Thank you very much for this terrific piece of Heebee Jeebee nostalgia!

Viviana's fantastic world of color and joy reminds me of the state of mind referred to as 'reverie'. Check out the fellow on the stairs - with all of his thoughts fully displayed behind him. Then ask him what he is thinking and he'll reply "I don't know, but it felt good"! Reverie - slip into some today!
The reverse side of the card is a jolly stroll through the sandpaper forest.
I have to say, that this envelope is strikingly handsome. It has a certain 'nobleness' and that 'far away' look that is difficult to capture. Incredible postage - Way to go Argentine Post Office! "Another shrimp on the Barbie"? I love the blackened arm doing the shrimp tossing. Oddly sinister somehow - a nice touch! Once these women sit down to argue, somebody is bound to be "The Barbie".
I sure had fun meeting Vizma at IUOMA a couple of weeks ago. She is new to mail art, but she has so much enthusiasm, and is such a quick study, it is difficult to tell. Love this wild decorated envelope. Keep up the good work my new friend - Hope you liked what I sent to you.

This philosophical notice "Shows you where you are and now, where to go". Or is it more of a warning -considering that it was found on a urinary wall! Rather gives it an ominous tone. Oh, that Lotro!
I really enjoy Lothar's very busy (frantic) art. It is like it is yelling some kind of indecipherable art message at us. A couple of nice artistamps found on this page as well.
I thought we might want a better look at the magnificent Lotro, in all his fluxus splendor. This fine stamp made by long time mail artist Buzz Blurr.
I love the decorated envelope Lotro sent . It's oddly gorgeous - fantastic mail art! Lotro can really lean over the edge of sanity for a good peek at what's on the other side, then show us a glimpse of what he saw. Thank you very much.

I think most folks recognize every body's favorite titillating boozy Brit ex-singer. I must admit, I loved Amy Winehouse performances. Yeah, she was loaded, but she could belt it out! As Charles Bukowski would say "It takes stamina"! And she sure had it - in fact it was her curse! And when she's on....wow! What a sex-bomb! Classy sleaze at it's finest! Check her out - pretty toasted, but nailed the song - quite sensually I might add (my favorite song by her) here: Amy sings "Wake up alone".
Nice to have Janet back (I wish we could have Amy back too). I like the incorporation of the wall paper and the cheery array of U.S. Christmas (forever stamps) postage. I guess three of them were already canceled? They look great Janet - love your work! Be seeing you in the mail shortly.

I love how the tormented appearance a landscape of urban statements relates to the viewer. Here, Fleur constructs from deconstruction - his collection of graffiti snapshots actually cheers up the disregarded debris scattered about the perimeter of the San Francisco Bay. Great composition Fleur!
I have just come back from the Bay Area in California myself. I have actually been down there twice in the last month (some family matters). I would liked to have said hello to Fleur while in Oakland - unfortunately, I was just too busy. I am curious enough about his art to just want to meet him.
