Always nice to have my dear cousin Arty popping in for a visit via the mail box. I love the way he presides, his head floating majestically, over his mechanical mini love-bot troops, like a living tribunal. And I also like what Gunter is doing with his wardrobe these days. Great card my old friend
Gunter writes that he would enjoy having a beer with me. I like his thinking! It has been a long while since cousin Arty was back in the states and we here, in the 4th Dimension, miss him dearly. Thanks very much Gunter and see you in the mail. Art Tower Mial Art.

Heebee Post #758 - Michael Harford - North Manchester, Indiana - USA
This little fellow seems to be directing traffic on the Moon. I am liking this futuristic vision of carving the Moon into a sort of outer space Disneyland for humans to frolic in. Happy living in desolation! This is particularly interesting to me, because I actually live on West Main street. I expect this card is actually depicting the "Decentralized World Wide" aspect of the "Networker Congress" rubber stamp seen below.
That is some furrowed brow! A lovely reverse side with interesting rubber stampings and rough terrain. Michael also has a mail call "The World is a Town", check it out. Thank you Michael for this entertaining blueprint of your new world vision. See you in the mail old boy!

Heebee Post #757 - Connie Jean - Titusville, Florida - USA
Connie Jean sends in this very interesting altered vintage linen postcard showing the strange beauty of Florida's magnificent papaya plantations. I did give it a little scratch because I'm oddly curious about things. The postcard, published in 1946, was made by the brilliant Curteich Co.
I sure am liking the woman on the alligator rubber stamping and the whole chaotic look of this fun loving reverse side. And dig that little zip code guy on the bottom right. Haven't seen him in a while - very cool. Thank you very much Connie Jean (love that name) and we shall meet again in the mail.

Heebee Post #756 - Viviana Cernjul - Buenos Aires - Argentina
An intense smorgasbord of color is delivered in this 'Pizza' style of mail art by the avid Argentine artist Viviana. I have seen a lot of works by her all over the internet lately and must admire her prodigious output. Always vibrantly colored, it is easy to tell that Viviana is a happy person, sending out the good vibes, all over our love starved planet.
"It's Mail Art Time"! Great to see this warm and likable artist kicking it into gear.
Here, you can see the the entire ensemble, neatly tucked inside a clear plastic envelope, showing the contents off. Is that a tower-like postal box I see "Codigo Postal"? Interesting, isn't it? Super postage as well. Thank you very much Viviana - Will be sending something off to you soon. Mail Art to the World.

Heebee Post #755 - Marianne Laimer - Umea - Sweden
"Travel lightly to the 4th Dimension" declares Marianne's trans-realities advertisement for her Spring Holiday Special. "Mid-Season rates are enjoyable and the Heebee Island visitors never had so many "Other-worldly treats and sensations" to choose from. Be sure to ride the popular "Tick-Tock Train" as it scoots along it's adventurous routes via the jungle floor of the 4th Dimension.
Since Heebee Jeebeeland is widely known for being "The Land of Extra-Freedom", it would behoove the visitor to "Pack only Toothbrush and towel", so that he, or she , may enjoy the mountain of comfort that 'extra-freedom' actually has. I like your thinking Marianne! I also love that Swedish 'socks' postage stamp. Sweet! Thank you very much and see you subsequently in the post my dear.

Heebee Post #754 - Vizma Bruns - Waitpinga, South Australia - Australia
Although the identity of the artist isn't revealed on this entertaining postcard - It feels like Vizma Bruns furthering her cry of the Squid! This giant Calamari card, or any mention of the like, rarely fails to remind me of the very strange encounter that was put to word by Herman Melville in "Moby Dick":
Daggoo, the lookout, stationed atop the main-mast-head in the Crow's Nest had cried out, mistakenly, "There, there again! She breaches! The White Whale"!
"The four boats were soon on the water; Ahab's in advance, and all swiftly pulling towards their prey. Soon it went down, and while, with oars suspended, we were awaiting its reappearance, lo! in the same spot where it sank, once more it slowly rose. Almost forgetting for the moment all thoughts of Moby Dick, we now gazed at the most wondrous phenomenon which the secret seas have hitherto revealed to mankind. A vast pulpy mass, furlongs in length and breadth, of a glancing cream-color, lay floating on the water, innumerable long arms radiating from its centre, and curling and twisting like a nest of anacondas, as if blindly to catch at any hapless object within reach. No perceptible face or front did it have; no conceivable token of either sensation or instinct; but undulated there on the billows, an unearthly, formless, chance-like apparition of life.
As with a low sucking sound it slowly disappeared again, Starbuck still gazing at the agitated waters where it had sunk, with a wild voice exclaimed- "Almost rather had I seen Moby Dick and fought him, than to have seen thee, thou white ghost!"
"What was it, Sir?" said Flask.
"The great live squid, which, they say, few whale-ships ever beheld, and returned to their ports to tell of it."
But Ahab said nothing; turning his boat, he sailed back to the vessel; the rest as silently following."
Sorry folks, I couldn't resist. Most people that read Moby Dick don't even remember the Squid. Amazing!
Vizma, of course, makes her post card reference to the "Squid Patrol" card I had sent her not long ago. Thank you very much V. Be seeing you in the mail!

Heebee Post #753 - Frips - Gent - Belgium
It is always a sincere pleasure to receive a genuine "Happy Spring" mail packet from the wonderful Frips. She always manages to capture a peculiar sense of character to her Heebee Jeebee Mail Art that is sent here. Have to admire her roughly hewn envelopes - that are invariably sewn around the perimeter, adding an odd international traveling folksy aura to it. You can see her trademark 'stretchy cat' stamp adjacent to the real Belgian postage. I always smile when I see those cats.
A close up of the little Fluxist guerrilla soldier herself. .....she never looked back!
The interesting envelope contained a little 6" x 4" artist booklet of which, this is the cover. It is like the unique happy vibes of your own home. And down the hall..........
How are all those books staying on those shelves? Oh, the unique vibes of home!
Some of the other pages comprising the booklet. It really is a sort of personal stroll that I feel I'm being led through (by Frips' hand). Nice to convey that feeling.
Here, the artist becomes even more personal and intimate. Very cool!
It simply would not have been 'Fripsish' to not have added her sleepy felines somehow. More of the luxurious life of cats.
Happy Springtime to you too, my cheerful birdie friend. There are some things that I really truly love about mail art - Frips is one of them! See you in the mail! Frips Mail Art.

Heebee Post #752 - Wolfgang Skodd - Dortmund - Germany
A ferocious storm is weathered by the heroic 'Tower Testor' (this time a woman), who keeps sluggin' away until the danger has passed! A brilliant perceived underlying message that shines out of the wicked sleet that pounces upon the unsuspecting Heebee Jeebee Island. "Soldatin im Monstunsturm" = "Sold in the ancient Monsoon". Nice one Wolf!
"Source: ""Look at Me!"" Images of women". From the Dortmund Tower Plakat Gallery. You just have to love the arty Fluxus Nord (Fluxus North) Dortmund insignia Wolfgang uses on the austere reverse side. Great job Banana Man! Mail Art of the Banana Underground. See you in the mail Herr Skodd!

Heebee Post #751 - Arac - Huntsville, Alabama - USA
"Somewhere, over the radioactive Rainbow" warbles our the trans-dimensional hero as he clicks the heels of his rubbery boots together three times. "There's no place like the 4th Dimension". This is a fabulous, eye popping card that really does an entertaining job depicting the party goin' on at Heebee Island.
Ms. Cara goes on to explain that 4th Dimensional Riff-Raff have recklessly blown smoke rings, creating little gateways to Heebee Jeebeeland. These kind of folks are known as the "Willies". Thank you very much Cara, this is a fantastic card. Join Cara's Hippy Dippy Mail call.. I am enjoying a pretty cool exchange with Cara just now - See you in the mail!

Heebee Post #750 - Hal S. - Chapel Hill, North Carolina - USA
Hal S. makes his debut in Heebee Jeebeeland with this incredibly ethereal looking postcard. On the left, he writes: "So you think you are a Fish or a basketball"? Well Hal, I'm seeing an odd, puffy monkey-bear, swimming in an inter-dimensionally charged cloudburst! And I must add that I like it very much!
The little bit of rain that fell on the reverse side gives it an even more inter-dimensional feel. Is the top panel the talking dog after he leaped through the 'hole' in the cosmic barrier? A lovely card Mr S. Thank you very much and see ya in the mail.
