HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
"The urge to merge" - This New Year's posting is a gathering of artistic collaboration that is a celestial mind blower. My eyes took a long satisfying stroll all over the above card. At least 4 artists have participated and the result is stunningly appealing. This card is like when Jimi Hendrix asks "Are you Experienced?" - this is what he was talking about! A fabulous card!
The other side of the wicked cool sky warriors features some very interesting postage. I'm glad to have Fugue's work shown for the New Year's Eve posting. Absolutely superb card! Thank you very much Lord Fugue - you've done it again old boy!

Heebee Post #914 - Michael Harford (The World is a Town) - North Manchester, Indiana - USA
Michael's acknowledgement to my submission for his brilliant mail call "The World is a Town". The "Draw Me" is hilarious considering the subject is a town that is portrayed by a 1950's retro-modern apartment complex atop a precarious cliff! Strangely funny........
I have to say, the rubber stamping in the upper left is genius. The Avant Garde magic word of "Abraca-Dada" divinely stamped upon a bald head with the art wizened caption "Impress it upon your mind"! Divine Inter-Dada! Thanks Michael for the super card - loved it! The World is a Town.

Heebee Post #913 - Otto David Sherman - New York, New York - USA
Otto sends in this fish-o-lyptic holiday postcard (Adamandia Kapsalis would have loved this) and let the festivities begin! Are the Fish and the Sun's relationship as if a biological clock signaling in the New Year?
The reverse side of Otto's Fish-O-Lyptical postcard is a dazzling holiday art rant in blazing Sherman style.
In a separate envelope came this gorgeous calender with Otto's latest usual suspects - all wonderfully adorned with dashing medals of victory and gracious ingratiating expressions on their more than noble faces (Yes, even Petreas with his "War and Piece" headline. Our best General, gone down because of extramarital business. Tsk, tsk!). I still like and admire the man though and I think that in most countries, you don't get rid of your best guy because of a bit of dallying! Ah well, one thing the USA has is a lot of Generals!
A fantastic set of the mysterious Vizier. A little more of a burgundy than I have previously seen. I like to experiment with various different hues and this fellow looks great in just about any part of the spectrum!
I have received a load of stuff from Otto and so, this is only part #1 of at least 2 parts - maybe 3. Stand by for that forthcoming art just after the New Year! What an eye popping envelope - super artistamps! Thanks very much Otto and we shall see you in the 2013 post!

Heebee Post #912 - Norbert Koczorski - Diepholz - Germany
Norbert dropped in to Heebee Jeebeeland to give us this holiday enlightening from Friedrich Nietzsche: "One must have chaos within themselves to give birth to a dancing star". Hmmmm...... Okay, got it, I think. Thank you and Happy New Year Norbert - be seeing you in the 2013 mail. And thank you Friedrich!
Heebee Post #911 - Art Tower (Gunter Schwind) - Aschaffenburg - Germany
Good ol' cousin Arty sends in the Love Bots to spread the good vibes around the 4th Dimension Territories. He also boasts "I love A-berg"! I'm glad to hear it and am always glad to hear someone declaring their love for their town or country. You just don't hear anything like that very often and it rather feels good.
Gunter is always upbeat and we have fun when we are together. It has been awhile and I hope to hook up with him again at some point. Now, looking at that double headed Love Bot above, I have to wonder, isn't it unpleasantly warm inside that suit? Anyway, I dig Art Tower's message of love and I'll see him soon - in the mail! Heebee Post #910 - Coralette Damme - St. Petersburg, Florida - USA
You can't even see the sparkly red dots all over this jolly fellow's mysterious oven outfit. Think of it - actually baking cookies right in your own belly! Can't get better than that!
It's nice to see the wonderful Hag back in Heebee Jeebeland. Thanks for your "Happy Holidays - Heebee style" card. And Happy New Year - see you in the 2013 mail!

Heebee Post #910 - Uli Grohmann - Munster - Germany -
Uli's Christmas goodies boast a happy year end greeting. Looking at these trans-morphing rabbits - notice how they strangely are transformed into a Santa likeness where their ears should be. Just what the 4th Dimension enjoys, science fiction "Seasons Greetings"!
The reverse side of Uli's monstrous Christmas candy vision features a great "By hopping Jackalope" artistamp. Thanks very much Uli - see ya in the 2013 mail my friend.
Heebee Post #909 - Katerina Nikoltsou - Thessaloniki - Greece
Katerina stopped by to say Merry Merry! Thanks very much Katerina, same to you my dear and see you in the 2013 mail. Happy New year!

Heebee Post #908 - King Tut Exhibit - Seattle Science Center - Seattle, Washington - USA
I went to see King Tut at the Seattle Science Center last Friday and I just could not keep quiet about it any longer. I studied and examined nearly everything displayed in the exhibition and I must say, I was quite delighted to be astounded by what I saw. The exhibit is leaving Seattle on the 5th of Janurary 2013 for Cairo and the way Egypt looks now, it may never leave the Middle east again to go anywhere! I'm so glad to have seen the artisanship of 4 and 5 thousand year old statues and artifacts. Few things in life can really take you away and this was one of them - in spades!
Unfortunately folks, I was not allowed to photograph any of the displayed items for some reason. Is the flash of a camera bad for ancient relics? I know, kind of a crummy report on King Tut but I did take some snaps of the other science departments. See below.
This is one of a pair of skulking Raptors that were fighting over a carcass in the Dino Barn (Prehistoric Animals).
And this contraption is a "Sleep Clock". I wanted to take the time to see how this worked, but alas - not enough time. Although, it sure looks great! -------We will now continue with our regular programming!

Heebee Post #907 - Dogfish - MOA (Museum of Artistamps) - Seattle, Washington - USA
I can hardly believe my good fortune in receiving a large decorated envelope from Dogfish, the curator of MOA in Seattle. Robbie included an amazing array of intellectually classy Artistamps. Sit back for a moment and enjoy the following exhibition of faux postage extraordinaire from the land of Tui Tui.
These beautiful stamp plate blocks really takes me away. This one is for "Tui Tui Stamp Day July 29, 2003". He signed this old world looking beauty for me me!
Check the incredible detail of "Dogfish 47th Birthday". 48 Nupees in the day-dreamy realm of Tui Tui.
Even when goofing around, Dogfish's work is fantastic.
The exotic Archipelago of Tui Tui. Nice cancellations. These sets are just lovable!
Official Tui Tui Philatelic Bulletin.
A post mortem commemorative for a friend.
Various mind blowing postage that includes Dogfish's 60th and 61st birthday commemorative.
This super AARPEX postcard was also included.
I'm crazy about this set - they look as if tickets to a very delightful show of some strange nature. Gorgeous!
This large (A4) plastic official parking sign from the grand opening of MOA. This is going to look great on the wall over my art bench.
This is an exquisitely fashioned commemorative A4 sized sheet created in honor of the wizardly Jas Felter, co-curator of MOA.
This is the backside of the large envelope all the stamps were in. He even features a color test! This is another likable demonstration of Dogfish humor.
I love the way he wrote Test Tower - made me grin as I pulled this from my mailbox. Thank you so much Robbie - I was giddy as I opened your envelope! Be seeing you in the mail quite soon!

Heebee post #906 - Parys St. Martin - Glenelg, South Australia - Australia
Parys' strangely festive beauty arrived in all it's glory today. She creates little universes that just take you away to some distant point within itself. Parys' work is always something to marvel at and this specimen does not vary from that observation. No, it is not a Disco version of the Star Wars "Death Star". Thank you very much Parys - Happy Christmas Mail! Visit her Mail Art site : Emotional Digital.
Heebee Post #905 - Jennie Hinchcliff - San Francisco, California - USA
Jennie's hearty "Hello" postcard collage struck a warm note with me. I was fortunate enough to meet Jennie several weeks ago at AARPEX, CT Chew's incredible Artistamp Artists Reunion and Philatelic Exhibition in Seattle. Meeting people in such splendid circumstances, makes for great memories. AARPEX was a joyous affair and you could feel the mutual admiration around the room full of artists.
I saw Jennie again, the very next day at the grand opening of the MOA (Museum of Artistamps) also in Seattle. I was hoping to chat with her a bit more (I'm a big fan of her enterprising spirit) but, no such luck as she was hustled out to catch her ride. She was one big fabulous smile! Thanks very much Jennie - see you in the mail! Check her interesting sites: Red Letter Day and Good Mail Day.

Heebee Post #904 - Sky City (Lord Fugue) - Hickory, North Carolina - USA
Sky City's treatise on the censoring of evil is an interesting conceptual battle. Is the universe like a giant filter that sorts out good and bad? Is the role of good to shut evil down or just to carry on despite it? - Because, conversely, the role evil has is to halt goodness and that just won't do! Inquiring minds want to know...... I'm enjoying your card Fugue!
Side B of Sky City's visual assault bears a resemblance to HR Giger's work - cool and creepy - as if constructed in deep outer space by a different kind of eyes and hands. Riding in on top of that thick undulation are three artistamps worthy of remarks. The center, silverish "Pinocchio Washington" is by the Crackerjack Kid and Steve Smith. Darlene Altschul's DKA POST tiger stamp is a handsome addition to any envelope. Great stamps! Thanks very much Fugue - love your stuff! See you in the mail my friend.

Heebee Post #903 - Mailarta - Queen of Poste - Victoria, British Columbia - Canada
Popular postal artist and celebrity, Mailarta sends in this terrific looking "Test of Time" vision. The few large and symbolic features must have some continuity that suggest a sort of modern fable or proverbial sense - Although the ambiguity of the symbolised scenario and my corresponding indulging imagination can compile at least a few different meaningful solutions. A nice adventure in art! Like taking a puzzle apart. Great card!
Side two of that nebulous card is a dream scape of a paratrooping Argonaut returning to claim his mythical "Red Fleece" as the Siren attempts to use her magic coupon to repel him. Am I getting close?
Mailarta's tireless Mail Art project efforts continue with the 5th Mailmania call for submissions for yet another spectacular Mail Art exhibit. I know how labor intensive these shows can be - especially with the hundreds of contributions that are always expected and are displayed so well in Studio J.
A great article on Mailmania 4 and the handsome little documentation booklet are both very pleasant reads. Splendid documentation!
I sure am enjoying my friendship with Mailarta and Dale. One thing is for sure, Studio J is a great creative space and obviously a fun place to visit and I hope to visit there in the not too distant future. Thank you very much and see you in the mail soon. Heebee Post #902 - Arac - Huntsville, Alabama - USA
"Twin agents agenda: Kick Ass and Take names"! That's a recipe for a couple of tough cookies and these two are reportedly "Capable of holding all manner of great men in their thrall". I'll have to notify Squidland Yard immediately before half of the 4th Dimension becomes enthralled by the serious looking duo. However, for some reason, being thralled by the merciless pair doesn't sound that unpleasant.
I love the admonition "We want to become weirder". A lovely goal to aspire to - and you know, it is still difficult for me to be consciously aware of the fact that not everyone likes weird. But I admit too much. Maybe Arac is tinkering with her "Brief control over your mind" machine as I turn my interest towards her! Heh-heh. Anyway, nice card my dear - be seeing you in the mail !

Heebee Post #901 - Otto D Sherman - New York, New York - USA
This fabulous Fountain-Head sticker was among many prizes that Otto outstandingly included in his handsome display of Artistamp mania. This particular sticker, I really enjoyed. It seems as if a celebration of the imagination and , well, since I live in the 4th Dimension, I can dig it. I like the "Otto" monogram too.
An ensemble of Otto's attractive and exotic postage from his universe of world celebrities.
This set of four colorful "E.O.N. POST 2012" stamps remind me of the sixties comedy movie posters - ie: The Russians are coming. At least two of them are in collaboration with Italian artist Vittore Baroni. Pretty elaborate work.
I love this "First day of Issue" envelope. I have gone crazy for Artistamps and it's peripheral components lately and I know I am just now finally getting serious about creating my own sets. Thanks for the inspiration Otto - I'm right behind ya! Otto Art - Badges and Artistamps. See ya in the mail my friend.
