Heebee Post #450 - Parys St. Martin - Durango, Colorado - USA

Parys enters the Affair arena with this marvelous Fluxation of Mail Art. There is a 'splendor' about her work that is absorbing and inspiring. This piece is absolutely gorgeous!
Cubomania? Another very interesting offering from Parys - this time a digital composition, nicely poised atop a vibrant red vastness. Like a universe unto itself.
It is very pleasing to find another favorite mail artist of mine here on the Affair. Parys' work is always top-notch and she never disappoints. Thank you very much for these lovely pieces Parys, they are extraordinary! Find her collecting Mail Art here: Mail Art from Around the Globe. Mail soon for you.

Heebee Post #449 - Unknown - Los Angeles, California - USA

I love the psychedelic broadcasting theme of this cool little 'Test Tower' postcard. Unfortunately, no Artist's name accompanied the return address. Great card though!
"Americans seem to have trouble with......" Statements that end abruptly and mysteriously? It appears that something that would have completed this phrase has been ripped loose (that spot looks great though) - leaving us to speculate as to what the card's creator intended. Unless.......more Dada than I had considered! Finished off with "Defend Public". I like it the way it is - Thank you very much!

Heebee Post #448 - Julian Grant - Chicago, Illinois - USA

Julian checks into the Affair with a sort of award from the Power Ranger Girls! You shouldn't have, but I'm glad ya did!
Nice to see you again Julian. Nice 'sympathy' (funeral) address sticker too! Julian is an interesting and busy fellow. Check out his work here: Julian Grant Filmmaker. Thank you very much - can't wait to see your latest "The Defiled". See you in the mail.

Heebee Post #447 - RCBz - St. Clown, Minnesota - USA

Romantic sports enthusiasts can be found roaming the grounds in Heebee Jeebeeland thanks to RCBz's comedic Fluxus mating ritual.
This is the 1st of two cards sent by one of the current surreal postcard masters. Some very cool conceptual humor and great quality of craftmanship go into these fine examples of Mail Art.
Above is card #2 and what an enigmatic delight it is. You are looking at the opening of the "Perisphere". Mysteriously missing since the 1939 New York World's Fair, it is seen here just after the door had been pried open 71 years later! Read all about it on the reverse side below. What a news flash!
I have had the pleasure of viewing and enjoying many postcards made by RCBz, but this one really is something else. Fantastic in the full sense of the word. The work done by this artist has really reached a high degree. I love this card and RCBz's new mail art adventure blog: RCBz MAIL ART. Thank you very much for this pair of beauties. See you in the mail soon.

Heebee Post #446 - Valery Shimanovsky - Nizhekamsk, Tartarstan - Russia

Valery's postcard to the Affair displays of of the many debutantes that seem to be lounging around the Island lately.
Great to see the popular Mail Artist's return. Check his interesting rubber stampings in both English and Cyrillic. Great card Valery! Thank you very much.

Heebee Post #445 - Mailarta - Queen of Poste - Victoria, British Columbia - Canada

Dame Mailarta appears on the Affair with a wonderful Fluxus message: "Lovers Matter"! This is large (just under A4 size) and excellently wrangled and crafted by the well-known Mail Art All Star. The imagery and composition of the reverse side is just as incredible. Signed with the Artist's trademark "Love and Laughter"! It is great to have to have the accomplished Dame Mailarta visit. And check out the fabulous Mailmania 4! Thank you so much.

Heebee Post #444 - Lauriana Glenny - KwaZulu-Natal - South Africa

Lauriana joins the Affair with her Outer Jungle Limits postcard. Heebee Jeebee Island at sunset. Nice!
Happy to see you on the Affair Lauriana. What a glorious 4th Dimensional twilight card. Thank you very much. I really like the colorful avian South African postage stamps too.

Heebee Post #443 - Planet Susannia (Susanna Lakner) - Stuttgart - Germany

I am always interested in what Susanna is doing. Here, she offers a Fluxus glimpse of a sort of sensual Affair. Or perhaps, the 'residue' of a sensual affair. Memories can last forever.......
I am quite delighted to have Susanna make an appearance here. She is one of my very favorite mail artists and it is fascinating to keep up with her artistic antics: Planet Susannia. She is the real deal folks - Thanks very much Susanna!

Heebee Post #442 - William L. Philyaw - Shawnee, Kansas - USA

William returns to the Affair with a curious case of gelatinous enticement and luscious, alluring cake. The way to a man's heart........... A very enjoyable and amusing Fluxus Feast card!
William and I have become pretty good friends through our collaborations and the collection of these efforts grows. At some point, in the not too distant future, I will show them off in their entirety here on the Affair.
Always great to have William appear here. His incredible arsenal of vintage stamps is amazing (I am envious). Thank you very much my friend. See you in the mail soon! Addressee.

Heebee Post #441 - Dmitry Babenko - Krasnodar - Russia

Dmitry drops by the Affair with this magnificent Fluxus 'glyph'. It is large (A4) and has a great Dada nobility to it. The construction is of a robust masonry nature and is almost like a section of mysterious ancient wall. This is a fantastic work by the veteran Mail Artist. I absolutely love this piece and I shall mount it above my Art desk. It is exquisite. Bravo!
The very large envelope arrived completely without any bending! This alone is astonishing. Great job Postal people! And thank you very much for this wonderful Fluxus Affair submission Dmitry. I wish you folks could see this piece in person - it really takes you away! Something special for you in the mail soon Dmitry!

Heebee Post #440 - Carmelleta NP - Portland, Oregon - USA

Every time I look at these characters, I have to smile. Who is having more fun than these guys? Carmelleta visits the Affair with this fun and happy times postcard. Nice outfits fellas!
I had just met Carmeletta at the IUOMA site and noted that she is the owner of a super bead store "Beads Forever" in Portland - on Hawthorne (one of my favorite streets) no less. I will definitely be visiting that place in the future. Thank you very much Carmeletta - great to be friends!

Heebee Post #439 - Truman Bently Jr. - Columbus, Georgia - USA

Truman enters the Affair with this lively decorated envelope that held 3 pages of his meandering Fluxus newsletter. This certainly is an entertaining envelope and both sides are shown here.
Seen above is page #1 of Truman's manic Newsletter. This is just packed with harangue that touches on just about everything. You can click on it to have a roller coaster read - fasten your seatbelt! Thank you Truman.

Heebee Post #438 - Stan Askew - Pasadena, California - USA

Stan shows up on the Affair with this 'distressed to the point of distraction' Dada Bunny card. The 'Eight Man' strikes again with this Johnson-esque bunny dissolvement. The quality of postcard crafting is very high with Stan. And this one is a beauty!
Nice to see Stan back return with such an Obscuro-a-go-go submission. This card is thick with a nice heft to it. Thank you very much old friend. You can find more about this artist's work here: Askewphoto.

Heebee Post #437 - Kiera Pannell - Montreal, Quebec - Canada

"The Earth has received the embrace of the Sun and we shall see the results of that love". Words spoken in earnest by the last Sioux Indian to surrender to the U.S. Government. He was a Medicine Man and Chief of the Sioux Nation - Is he remembered for being a 'good Indian'? Nice work Kiera.
Kiera has sent in Mail Art from different locations around the world. This postcard comes from Canada as she writes that she has relocated there from the UK into "A house that rains on the inside". Stay warm dear girl. Thank you very much - I'll be sending a house warming card very soon. She also has a Mail call regarding culture and language - it is here: This is Art.

Heebee Post #436 - Lorraine Kwan - Vancouver, British Columbia - Canada

Lorraine appears on the Affair with her wonderful sense of humor shining brightly. Who says Mail Art isn't 'Rocket Science'? "Romancing the Missile" is very cool and so are you Ms. Kwan! Nice to find Lorraine 'blasting off' on the Affair. I love the spirit of the lovely "Miss Bomb". I didn't realize the 'Cold War' was so sexy. Find out more about Lorraine's artworld antics here: Fashion / Paper and Postage. Thank you very much Lorraine - there is something fun on it's way to you.
