Recognize this painting? Maybe not. This painting was done by the accomplished artist Osvaldo
Romberg whose long career often explored masterworks from historical art. In this case he photographed Vincent van
Gogh's self portraits (24 of them) and painted over the images. Although his brushstrokes often mimic Vincent's, the reworkings differ greatly in size (stretching and dislocations) from the originals and unusual elements and detail are added - distorting the images.
