Heebee Post #183 - Servane Morel - Brussels - Belgium

Happy Halloween! This festive occasion does not go unnoticed on Heebee Island. The Confuse-a-Tron Lounge hosts a real Halloween Bash! Ghosts, Goblins and Witches from the 3-D real world flock through Dimensional barriers to populate the bar stools and dance floors and catch up on things with their 4-D cousins. It's a ghastly Hullabaloo!Servane returns to Heebee Island on it's biggest Holiday with her spooky party guests and the Locals are thrilled. She runs a very fun and popular Mail Art site: Lettres d'Ailleurs. And she is a pleasure to know. Thank you Servane.

Heebee Post #182 - Giovanni Bonanno - Salerno - Italy

New photos from Trans-4-D Frontier Explorers reveal strange unstable Dimensional activity. Portholes to undiscovered other Dimensions? Heebee Jungle inhabitants refer to them as "snares" and report that getting too close to one of these will result in your complete vanishment! These "snares" are also known to wander and there is no way to know where they may appear next. These are no friend to the Heebee Explorers.
Giovanni visits Heebee Island with this beguiling evidence card. This card is actually rather large and encased in a thick sealed plastic shield. Very nicely done. He writes "Nervosismo Estremo" (extremely nervous) - a great way to describe this unstable mystery force! Thank you very much Giovanni and welcome to the 4th Dimension.

Heebee Post #181 - C.B. James - Vallejo, CA - USA

Nothing like a delightful drive down Heebee Jungle paths. These Hipsters are thoroughly enjoying themselves in their rented jalopy. Seen here, passing by the Island Resort's Dairyland, they are on a merry jaunt they won't soon forget.
Uh-oh! Damage control! C.B.'s lovely card ran into some Postal trouble on the way to the 4th Dimension. Thank you Postal workers for prying this little guy out of the teeth of the sorting machines! I love the rubber stamping here reading "You may have Art in your heart that you are unaware of"! A message to all Artists to harvest the wonderful languishing Art hidden deep within. Thank you very much!

Heebee Post #180 - Jennifer Zoellner - St. Petersburg, FL - USA

Heebee Jeebeeland is becoming, more and more, a wonderful get-away destination for children as well as adventure seeking adults. Kids all over the world are pleading, cajoling and even threatening their parents for a chance to spend a little time here. With a myriad of attractions and yummy treats - it is easy to see why!
A long time Island celebrity, Jen is back cavorting in the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge (her initials can be found carved into some of the party booths)! Love this card and that tasty looking Ice Cream and that cool "Done" rubber stamp. She has a new Mail Call: Mail & Sketch / UR Toy Story. Nice to see you back old friend.

Heebee Post #179 - Brent Leopold - Camp Hill, PA - USA

Bag packed and ready to for Inter-Dimensional travel. Upon arrival on Heebee Island, many guests like to make a secure copy of their mind (see below) in case of losing a portion ,or all of it, during their stay in the 4th Dimension. Particularly the late evenings at the Confuse-a-Tron lounge. "Mental Insurance" is inexpensive and recommended.
An exact replica of the mind will be on hand should the guest be the worse for wear and tear if the excitement becomes too much for them. Brent Leopold returns to the 4th with this lovely travel tip postcard. And I love the blue valise! Thank you very much my friend - great to see ya again! Find Brent here: Leopold Front Pocket.

Heebee Post #177 - Jennlui - Ottawa, Ontario - Canada

In an effort to ensure visitor's safety and comfort, the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge will sometimes adorn their walls with maps of certain guest's 3-D home areas to serve as a sort of reference point check . The 4th Dimension can bring about unbridled fun into folks and some can get just a little over the edge. A glimpse now and again of their origin in the 3-D real world can have a relevant and sobering effect.
These blank Artistamp "frames" are really cool and Jennlui (and others) will see what I do with them very soon. I can't resist them - like little puzzles waiting to be solved!
This really is a nicely constructed bit of Mail Art. Well done Jennlui! Thank you very much - and you should be hearing from me any moment now (sent a few days ago)! Check out this interesting Artist: Jennlui Letter Art

Heebee Post #176 - Carlos Botano - Coruna - Spain

Heebee Archeologists are scratching their heads over this unusual fossil specimen found in the remote Trans-4-D Frontier. 4th Dimension Chaos Evolution Theory is like solving a puzzle that has too many pieces. Time and space on Heebee Island doesn't always conform to 3-D real world standards, so that de-evolution and evolution are inter-twined and results from this often creates single generation species.
Carlos returns to Heebee Island with this exquisite relic from ancient 4-D times. His Artistamp is also very nice and displays his grand sense of humor. Thank you very much Carlos. You can find this Artist holding court here: Carlos Botana Mail Art . Great to see you here again my friend.

Heebee Post #175 - Chepin Mora Alonzo - San Francisco, CA - USA

This splendid parade of merrymakers appeared in the 4th Dimension this morning. Note the glee on their faces! Wonderful! Heebee Island is a powerful magnet for wayward 3-D real world refugees. These cheery folks will be feeling that "I'm finally home" sensation almost immediately. Welcome my friends!
Chepin makes a strong point here. The spirit of Heebee Jeebeeland is further from the 3-D real world in some regards than it is dimensionally apart.
Chepin sent in this great looking Mail Art package, hard clear instructional plastic envelope adorned in various stickers (check her hastily scribbled in faux postage stamp added on at the last moment to meet requirement)! Heh. Nice. This card is interestingly constructed as well. Love it! Thank you very much Chepin. She can also be found here: Chepin's IUOMA page.

Heebee Post #174 - William L. Philyaw - Shawnee, KS - USA

In a grand effort to explore the vast and diverse terrain of the Trans-4-D Frontier, these rugged robotoid explorer drones ("Docmechs") were created. Their sensors are constantly sending back images and data so that Heebee scientists will be better able to understand the puzzling nature and existence of the 4th Dimensional Territories. Beautiful Robot postage as well.
Professor Philyaw's fantastic scientific achievements continue to herald in new concepts of 4th Dimensional realities. He plays a very important role in the brilliant Heebee Think Tank and Island scientists thank their lucky stars that he is here.
It is always such a delight to have William on the Island. This postcard is amazing and Heebee Jeebeeland loves it! Thank you very much my friend - I just sent something to you yesterday - right before I found this Gem in my Post Box. Once again, he adorns his envelope with lovely vintage postage. Very nice. Want to see more superb Art by this interesting fellow? Philyaw Art and William's Mail Art collection: Addressee .

Heebee Post #173 - Katerina Nikoltsou - Thessaloniki - Greece

Get those cameras ready everybody! The majestic Tower of Power stands high above Heebee Island and is the crown achievement of Tower City, the capital of the 4th Dimension. This fantastic engineering feat is one of the great wonders of Heebee technology and a very popular visitor's destination here
The Tower's allure is powerful and, as you can see, a large crowd is almost always present here. This monolithic structure stands superbly surreal against the cosmic Heebee sky and Island guests often cheer in unison as they gaze upon it! Also known as the "Friendship Tower" because a wonderful togetherness that is felt by those in attendance. The hugging and shaking of hands among perfect strangers here is a cultural phenomenon not known in the 3-D real world.
Katerina returns to the 4th Dimension with this grand series of Tower City highlights. Thank you very much for these beauties. She is also very busy with the Mail Art Greece 2009 show. Great job!

Heebee Post #172 - Roxanne Clark - Taos, NM - USA

Well folks, it's finally happened. The incredible freedom of the 4th Dimension is now known to be a "Go to" destination for desperate riff-raff on the run! It is still the days of the "Wild Frontier" as far as Heebee Jeebeeland and fanciful flight is concerned and these criminals very well may run free for the rest of their lives, peacefully, in this vast 4-D jungle realm. These are wanted poster ATCs to be hung in the Heebee Post Office. Like that is going to do any good - Bounty Hunters are not taken kindly to, here on the Island, and no one else here really cares - as long as they mind their own business.......... Thank you Roxanne - Love these little devils!

Heebee Post #171 - Frips - Gent - Belgium

Heebee hieroglyphics found on this ancient parchment by Island Frontier explorer Frips remain a mystery to 4-D scientists. Interrogation techniques used on some now vanished Trans-Dimensional Invaders? - (Now illegal in the USA by the way). We may never know, but the research continues.
Although unable to attend the recent "A Book about Death" Mail Art Show in NYC, Frips and and many other Mail Artists and Fluxists contributed to the grand event. This is the grim and moody postcard she added to the highly successful show. Perfect! See A Book about Death if you missed that superb occasion.
Frips usually includes all kinds of goodies in her Mail Art packages and some of that fun is shown above. I really like her brand of Artistamps and I love finding something from this Artist and friend in my Post Box.
Frips never fails to amuse and Heebee locals have a great fondness for her as she returns to the 4th Dimension with this vibrant envelope packed to the gills (there was more - add and pass sheets and other assorted things). There are many that have a great love for this medium, but no one more than this enchanting Artist. Thank you very much my wonderful friend. Find her fine Mail Art site here: Frips Mail Art

Heebee Post #170 - Charline Adams - Olympia, WA - USA

"I'd like to be - under the sea - in an Octopus's garden - in the shade". Anybody remember that jolly tune? 4-D aquatic life is quite an adventure for this Octo-youngster, but Heebee waters could be rather dangerous for this vulnerable little fellow! Nice to see Charline back in the 4th Dimension, showing the brighter side of Heebee Ocean life - although I really couldn't seem to scan it properly - sorry! Thank you very much Charline. See you soon in the Mail my friend.

Heebee Post #169 - Deborah Davidson - Sapporo, Hokkaido - Japan

It is worth a trip to the 4th Dimension just for the phenomenal produce grown on Heebee Island. These Royal Peppers are as beautiful to to the eye as they are to the taste buds. Unfortunately, they cannot travel inter-dimensionally and therefore must be consumed and enjoyed only here in Heebee Jeebeeland. The magnificent 4-D vegetable garden is quite an attraction in itself. Many visitors spend hours marveling at the stupendous delicacies cultivated here.Deborah introduces the enchanting Art of Etegami (drawings and words on soft washi postcards) to the Heebee Territories with this gorgeous submission. Dosankodebbie's etegami album is sure a great view as is her wonderful Etegami site: Etegami Notebook. I love this stuff! Thank you so much Deb.

Heebee Post #168 - Chantal Laurin - Rawdon, Quebec - Canada

This lovely little "Thank You" arrived as if a plastic wrapped prize in a cereal box. It is for Mail Art sent to Chantal for the cool and interesting Centre D'Artistes de Rawdon. Chantal is sure a likable person - there is something fascinating about this Artist that is hard to define as she continues to intrigue Island locals. You can find out what I mean by looking here: CAR-Rawdon. Also the CAR - Mail Art show. Thank you Ms. Laurin, you are a pleasure to know.

Heebee Post #167 - Rob Grant - West Brunswick, Victoria - Australia

The 4th Dimension is moving into the future! Let me wipe my astonished brow as I ponder this concept for a moment....... This astounding information sheet of the Multi-Dimensional Transport "Jumpship Mk.II" arrived today and folks, it is a monumental acheivement. Negotiations, hopefully, will begin soon to utilize this deluxe Inter-4-D luxury travel craft. There is already a buzz in the air for tickets.
Jumpship International - A division of Inter Planetary and Hyper Dimensional Travel Inc. - is offering a wonderful business alliance opportunity to transport excited Mail Artists into the mystery of the 4th Dimension. A free test flight invitation sounds great too. Can't wait to shout "All aboard"! This is fantastic!
These cool peel off stickers were also found inside this momentous letter.
Rob Grant descends into Heebee Jeebeeland on a pretty grand scale. What a presentation. I love this stuff! A-4 in size, it is a very formal and provocative proposition indeed. The 4th Dimension will have a fun and thoughtful time responding to this. Thanks very much Rob - "Concept Mail Art" doesn't get better than this and Pop-Surrealism is where it's at! After a 3 year hiatus, Rob is back with his new Mail Art Show: Grantinks Mail Art. Be seeing you in the post my friend.

Heebee Post #166 - Art Tower - Aschaffenburg - Germany

Trans-Dimensional European Radio personality DJ Art Tower, seen here in a festive party mask, is about to bid adieu to Heebee Jeebeeland. He has been visiting the U.S. Northwest from Germany and enjoying his illustrious tenure here at the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge and the Islanders shall miss him dearly.
Seen here, relaxing between gigs, he contemplates returning to the 4th Dimension next May for the Heebee Jeebeeland Mail Art Show. Will the Two Towers get together for another Heebee summit meeting? There have been hushed rumors regarding the mysterious Art Tower's itinerary for 2010. We can only hope!
It has been a tremendous amount of fun having Gunter here in Washington. The next postcard I get from him will probably have German postage - it is odd seeing American stamps on his Mail Art. Carry on my friend, it has been a pleasure! What else is this Artist cooking up? Art Tower Mail Art and also Aschaffenburg Artist.

Heebee Post #165 - Coralette Damme - ST. Petersburg, FL - USA

Flappity-flippity-flappity! Like their 3-D real world cousins, these creatures of the Heebee night skies put on quite a show after twilight. Unlike their 3-D counterparts, these bats are actually hair groomers! Visitors hold still in excitement as these 4-D "Hairdresser Bats" gently and efficiently work to enhance your current hairdo. A Heebee Island exclusive!
Coralette's joyful return to Heebee Island included this fantastic Artistamp found on the envelope and also an Add & Pass Bird project that I will send back to her very soon. Thank you very much. Coralette is also affectionately known as the Crafty Hag and has a new Mail Art Call: Dread Lippencott's Menagerie.
