Heebee Post #49 - Keith Buchholz - St. Louis, MO - USA

This gorgeous A4 sized vintage travel magazine, from Fluxus/St.louis, shows just how long the popularity and intrigue of Heebee Island has captured the public's interest. The colorful cover boasts "Sex crazed Art Colony waits for you" and many here have found that to be, in fact, true to a degree. The 4th Dimension is a wonderful playground for all types of activities and the uninhibited atmosphere of the Island does lend itself as a perfect "arena" for such physical delights. Visitors should, however, exhibit discretion in these matters as this is a family vacation destination. Keith also writes this cryptic message: "If he's got a face, he'll want a Heebee Jeebee". One can only speculate on his meaning. Thank you Keith for this very cool and entertaining art. For information regarding this artist: www.blogger.com/profile/08749723050854486743

Heebee Post #48 - Jennifer Zoellner - St. Petersburg, FL - USA

Fe-Mail Artist Jennifer Zoellner returns to the Island and this lucky girl is quickly becoming the envy of the other guests by having contracted the Jeebee Measles. What a wonderful time she will have as everyone here knows this experience is no "calamity" or "illness". In fact, it is quite the contrary. Even a few hours of Jeebee Measles will enhance your intellect and physical beauty. Upon returning to our 3-D reality, your friends and family will marvel at the "new you". Island visitors regard this as similar to winning the lottery. Lucky girl indeed!
Here she writes "Let's do it. Let's be Mail Artists"! Well, I can understand her zeal for Mail Art since it has made her more beautiful and much smarter! We really like the "Fe-Mail Artist" artistamp and also that other artistamp "Ritalin - So much easier than parenting",  which I suspect may have been of Wackystuff origin. Thanks Jen for this great card! Folks, have you "Chromatophored" yet? Find her fabulous project

Heebee Post #47 - Art Tower - Aschaffenburg - Germany

The Heebee Tattoo Center, located inside the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge, is becoming more popular every day. These interesting renderings are from actual experiences and adventures that are enjoyed while vacationing here on the Island. Everyone can take home a "permanent souvenir" to proudly show off to their friends and loved ones.
So, to answer your inquiry AT - Yes indeed!  Not only are tattoos allowed, but moreover, greatly encouraged! These marvelous images look superb back in the real world and you will have fun explaining each one for years to come.  Thanks for your friendly and frequent visits here Gunter. We love your cards! There is more of this interesting Artist here: www.arttower.de/

Heebee Post #46 - Ed Buddz B - W.Chicago, IL - USA

There is no sense in making Heebee Jeebeeland seem completely without some terrifying aspects. The evidence for this can be found all over the Island. Usually these "Fright Field" areas are marked with a warning indicator like this beautiful example above. These "fields" are not for the faint hearted and it is recommended that children be accompanied by an adult when seeking adventure in these areas.
We are glad to see Ed back in the 4th Dimension with these great drawings showing the other side of life here on the Island. We like the Mail Art stickers too. Thanks Ed for your "Dark Side" art. Heebee Island has an ongoing reputation for being very receptive to creepy submissions and this is a splendid example.

Heebee Post #45 - Art Tower - Aschaffenburg - Germany

Interesting art from Art Tower showing the "Heebee" and the "Jeebee". Similar to the "Yin" and the "Yang" of our 3-D reality world, these icons depict the mind's ongoing polarities of thoughts and actions here in the 4th Dimension.  The "5 Jeepes" under the Icons are mysterious and their roles are still not entirely understood.
Thank you Gunter for your quick return to the Island with this second great card. We love frequent visitors and are always happy to accomodate friends of the 4th Dimension. That is a cool looking IUOMA sticker too. There are more of Gunter's efforts here: www.arttower.de/

Heebee Post #44 - Richard Canard - Carbondale, IL - USA

This monumental A4 size map of Heebee Jeebeeland arrived today from pioneer 4-D cartographer Richard Canard. He reports that he spent "some time on St. Salvador Dali Island", but now has the express desire to explore Heebee Jeebeeland and we are sure glad he does. This map really is quite an achievement! Thank you very much Richard.

Heebee Post #43 - Stan Askew - Pasadena, CA - USA

Security on the Island is hardly necessary and no one here has more fun than these happy looking lads as they patrol merrily along the Confuse-a-Tron area facilities perimeter. The security personnel are quite popular with the visitors as they are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (and handsome, as is clearly visible in this pic)!
As with any other tourist destination, there is always a few Wise Guys and this Island is no exception. Here, you can see a few Knuckle Heads heckling the other visitors as they stroll by. Ungentlemanly conduct can quickly become a cause for ejection from Heebee Island and back to 3-D reality, where it much more tolerated and even expected. Thank you Stan for another great post card. For more of Mr. Askew's antics see this: http://www.photoaskew.com/

Heebee Post #42 - Art Tower - Aschaffenburg - Germany

Yes, there are some rather curious looking beings from the 4th Dimension that have somehow managed to slip through the dimensional filters and into our 3-D world reality and have formed a sort of scientific colony. Don't be alarmed!  These intelligent creatures are referred to as "Heebee Refugees",  but actually only seek to observe our dimension and return to study and share their findings. It is crucial that these shy beings be left alone.
Art Tower refers to the mighty Mt. Rainier that stands at over 14,000 feet tall and is the jewel of the Cascade Mountain range. If that gigantic dormant volcano erupted, it would cause  a catastrophe of unprecedented proportion.  We joke about that sometimes.  Well......no, it's not shakin' yet!  Thanks Gunter for your rendering of that mysterious Inter-dimensional Scientist. Heebee Post #41 - Lorraine Kwan - Vancouver, BC - Canada

Governments around the world continue their eavesdropping in a relentless effort to digest the secrets of Trans-Dimensional travel and the very existence of the 4th Dimension on Heebee Jeebee Island. Rest assured that these "secrets" will remain secure so that the Island will continue to offer a complete vacation escape from any  bureaucracies that could ruin the freedom of any citizen from any country to participate in the extraordinary fun.
Lorraine returns to the Island with her particular brand of humor to remind us that we are never completely free from those who might try to control how we do what we do or if we can even do it! Thanks very much for your great postcard. The comical Chef seen here is to remind us of her project "Feed Me"!  Find it by clicking this: paperandpostage.blogspot.com

Heebee Post #40 - Xtina Solano - San Leandro, CA - USA

In a magical world of a gloriously happy thought-stream, Xtina is back on the Island slinging the beauty around like an veteran love guru. This is the type of like-minded guest that we will always encourage to vacation and   flourish here.
This thick mixed media card appeals to the sense of touch as well as sight. Like the 4th Dimension, it is composed of fragments of dreams and bits and pieces of  our 3-D reality as well as a definite "X-Factor"! Thanks Xtina for this sumptuous collage. What else is she up to? Check here: www.flickr.com/photos/11667842@N05/

Heebee Post #39 - Brent Leopold - Camp Hill, PA - USA

As the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge area gets closer to completion, we are seeing more astounding attractions added for the guests amusement. Here we see a couple in the 4-D Romance Chamber where shared surreal moments of love can be a very memorable experience.
There are many games to chose from here and the Island visitors play them with great enthusiasm. One favorite is "Math, Heart, Brain", a scientific breakthough actually, that can only be played in the 4th Dimension. An Island exclusive!
Brent writes that the "Spider Baby" was the only part of the movie "Toy Story" that he liked. I liked that sinister "Spider Baby" too. The other ATC is titled: "NRA ear cleaner".
This is not grafitti as we generally know it. There are some walls in the 4th Dimension that can sustain a sort of picture creating bacteria that can grow and appear overnight, sometimes rendering images of guests that are vacationing here. These images can be washed off easily with water or, since they pose no health threat and if they are particularly beautiful, they are left alone so that the folks staying here can marvel at them with delight.
These items came in this cool painted envelope. Thanks very much for your Heebee Offerings Brent. We are very glad you could visit the Island. Great stuff! Want to know more about this artist? Try : myspace.com/frontpocket

Heebee Post #38 - William L. Philyaw - Shawnee, KS - USA

Upon arrival to the Island, it might be a good idea for first time visitors to drop into the "4-D Tourist Bureau" to acquaint and orient one's self with this brave new world that is both exciting and adventure filled. This cosmopolitan woman, having visited the Bureau, is now better prepared and ready for her 4-D paradise vacation.
William speculates that this card may have been made by the Heebee Tourist Bureau themselves to promote the Island as a vacation destination. The lucky model chosen was a beauty.
William's return to the Island is great news for the locals as he is certainly a favorite here. And, once again, a lovely array of great vintage postage. Thank you very much for your "Tour #2" Art. An entrance to the Philyaw mail art world begins here: http://addressee.blogspot.com/

Heebee Post #37 - Ed Buddz B - W.Chicago, IL - USA

There are many "creatures" that roam the 4th Dimension that are both indescribable and ethereal. Most of these 4-D critters are harmless, playful and fun, especially for the children.
These "creatures" come and go mainly by merely appearing and vanishing, often when you least expect them to and are regarded as "Ghost Pets" when one becomes fond of you and follows you around for a short while.
Ed has managed the "Double Bubble" maneuver quite nicely by sending in 2 postcards simultaneously for full effect. Therefore, a double thank you, thank you for the very cool art is in order.

Heebee Post #36 - Medwolf - Battleford, Saskatchewan - Canada

This colorful Island ritual mask was discovered deep into the jungle during the last expedition along the Trans-4D Frontier. Medwolf was included in that party and now seeks to conduct his own research along the Frontier stretch of irreality known as "The Edge."

Looks like Medwolf possesses the neccessary skills that are required for 4-D Island exploration and survival on the Trans-4D Frontier. The rare qualifiers that do must be of an instinctive and hearty breed. And, besides, David Zack may very well be out there......somewhere........
Thanks very much for your colorful and interesting Mail Art. We are certainly glad to have you return to the Island. Happy hunting my friend. To get an idea of Medwolf's credentials, see this: http://medwolfcamp.piczo.com/

Heebee Post #35 - Wackystuff - Victoria, BC - Canada

When plucked from 4-D tide pools, these Sea Anemone-like creatures become "frozen" in time. When returned to their briney waters, they resume their lives completely unimpaired. Heebee Island is a source of never ending delightful phenomena.
Wackystuff is one of the current masters of the Artistamp and here are a few cool specimens to demonstrate. Thank you very much. Also, his timely "Money" Mail Art call. This is an issue that the 4th Dimension is interested in and will be sending something out soon to show our sense of distress and wonder about what is really going on and what can this mean to us? Find out more here: http://mailartmoney.blogspot.com/

Heebee Post #34 - Carla Cryptic - Berkeley, CA - USA

These are lovely ATC's with varying themes that are well crafted carvings and mixed media. Nicely made and have a good physical feel to them as well.

The backsides and titles, respectively, of those nice ATC's.

A great assortment of "Cryptic Post" items with the painting "Portrait of Spikas" featured in the center. It says "First class Mail Art" and I can hardly disagree.

A lot of goodies to view here, including a "Crypytic Post" of Carla herself on the far right. Hi Carla! This colorful array is bright, thoughtful and full of good vibes!Thank you so much! You can find more of this excellent artist by checking here: http://carlacryptic.com/

Heebee Post #33 - REALNEO - Barrie, Ontario - Canada

Heebee Jeebeeland boasts many interesting oddities around it's lively shoreline. One "must do" item on everyone's agenda is walking the "Talking Boardwalk" that extends out from the Confuse-a-Tron lounge area. Inscribed is "Under the Boardwalk you can hear them". This brilliant piece of Mail Art actually has those handsome little devil heads dangling inside their own individual windows. Magnificent! Great job REALNEO! This card is a Heebee classic. We like that "NeoPoste" stamp in the lower corner too. And Canadian potsage is looking good these days as well. Thank you for this super card. Heebee Post #32 - Shivablack - Berlin - Germany

Shiva B. has arrived on the Island in full regalia for her exquisite "Glamour Vacation". This stunning work is A4 in size and seems even twice as big! She is the Fashion Sensation that has the Confuse-a-Tron Lounge area buzzing with curiousity from the other visitors. What is your desire here your Majesty?
Another part of her exotic entourage is this fabulous royal purple postcard. She writes: "Bring the music to Heebee Jeebee" and she did! Enclosed is an awesome CD with an assortment of coolness. Starting off with the one and only Ms. Nina Hagen whom I adore and have seen in San Francisco. Yes!
This very large envelope I found under my mail box. I knew right away this had to be good! Thanks Shiva B., this really is marvelous and I love it! And thanks for choosing the 4th Dimension for your posh vacation! Want more of this exciting Artist? Look here: shivablack.blogspot.com

Heebee Post #31 - Allison Honeycutt - Fairfield, IA - USA

Oh, to relax and take in the joys of a pristine and joyous 4-D Island world packed with wonder and delight! Allison has done a splendid job showing the charged atmosphere of an experience surpassing ordinary reality in its fantastic pleasurableness. This Island is most often seen as one giant spectacle of happiness and harmony.
I like the 4-D jungle fancifulness she has created for the address and postage side of her card. Nicely done! We are so glad you are enjoying yourself here Allison and thank you for this lovely postcard! Like to know more about her Art?

Heebee Post #30 - Servane Morel - Brussels - Belgium

A beautiful array of 4-D Island wildlife by a champion of Mail Art. Servane writes that "These strange Heebee "creatures" need a home". Well, they look pretty content now, frolicking around on the Island. Yes folks, send us your "yearning to be free" creatures of all origins. This is the home most creatures only get to dream of.
So very nice of you to join in on the 4-D Island paradise fun that never stops. It's great to have you here Servane. A big thank you for your intriguing work. This artist has got it goin' on and if you would like to visit more of her mail art worlds, check these out: http://www.mailartpostal.canalblog.com/ and for the high adventurer at heart: http://mailartcorto.blogspot.com/ and http://julesvernenews.blogspot.com/
