Heebee Post#279 - Jonathon Hannaby - North Wales - UK

"Guess who's coming for dinner"? This handsome devil turned up in the 4th Dimension with a sunny disposition and headed straight for his fiance's suite - where she is staying with her folks. Will wedding Bells be breaking up that old gang of his? Dress rehearsal is tomorrow at the Confuse-A-Tron!Welcome to the 4th Jonathon. A super acrylic painting of Ol' Frankie on his last days of being single. He may be up late this evening hanging out with the boys. Hope he doesn't get into mischief and accidentally tear off a door or break a toilet or something. Thank you very much Jonathon. You can see more of his work here: Hannaby Artvark.

Heebee Post #278 - Brad Baucom - Deadwood, South Dakota - USA

Yes, the 4th Dimension is the perfect getaway for Artists that are painfully "Art Saturated" in the 3-D real world and ipso facto, "Art Detox" ready. At least once a year in Heebee Jeebeeland ought to be remedial enough for even the most stressed out Van Gogh types. And then back to the 3rd Dimension for Art Retox!
Looks like Brad arrived in the 4th Dimension just in time. Just being in the Heebee Territories will release him from the Artistic bondage that enslaves the 3rd Dimension. Welcome my friend. I really like your Fluxus Dakota address stamp. Sweet! And that stamp collecting postage stamp is a great commemorative as well. Nice! If you would like to see Brad's Mail Art round-up click here: Live 2B's Mail Art. Thank you very much.

Heebee Post #277 - Dosankodebbie (Deborah Davidson) - Toyohira-ku, Sapporo - Japan

Even 4-D monkeys fall from trees. I love the character of this friendly looking guy's pensive little face. This particular Art style is called Etegami folks and I am completely enchanted by it. My Mom is Castillian (Spanish) and used to tell me "In the house of glass - he who doesn't slip will fall" (translated). Yes, everyone makes mistakes - everyone!
Dosankodebbie is a big hit in Hebee Jeebeeland - ask anyone here! This beautiful postcard is laminated and will make a great addition to my collection of her charming work. Her super Etagami Notebook is a fantastic site, if you are interested at all in the dynamics of this traditional Artwork. She also has a Mail Art site: Dosankodebbie's Mail Art Gallery. Thank you very much - I love this stuff.

Heebee Post #276 - Nacy Scali - Claremont, CA - USA

Heebee ATC's! 4th Dimension interior decorator Nancy Scali returns to the Heebee Resort with this pair of lovelies to to enhance the Confuse-A-Tron Lounge furnishings. I couldn't quite capture the granduer of these two properly, but believe me, they are luscious and gleaming - even with the broken sea shell on that little fella to the left.
A coin operated U.S. Mailbox for people who have letters - and no stamps? Yes, you simply have to click on the image above to read about the magnificent "Mailomat". Nothing is more travailingly true than the message in the lower half. Conversely, the same can be said in reverse: Mail Art days are happy days! Everyone knows that! It is so nice to find Nancy back in the 4th Dimension again - she has been one of my favorite Mail Artists for a good while now. Thank you very much my dear friend.

Heebee Post #275 - Coralette Damme (The Crafty Hag) - St. Petersburg, FL - USA

The Seas surrounding Heebee Island are teeming with bizarre aquatic life forms. This large, handsome and noble looking fellow has been seen very near the shoreline of the 4th Dimension the last few mornings. He sure is a graceful denizen. It is also adorned with 7 Seas jargon around the perimeter. Spectacular!
What a fantastic Linocut print, embellished very nicely. This grand postcard is quite large - about the same area as an A4 size. It has a great feel to it as well. The Crafty Hag has really created a keeper here and Islanders applaud this Mail Art effort. Please give Ol' Dread our 4th Dimensional best. Find the legendary Pirate here: Dread Lippencot's Menagerie.
Looks like the 4-D critters from Coralette's mini invasion are also on land and in the air! All things great and small - not satisfied with the 3-D real world - are welcomed in the Heebee Territories. Find more about the Crafty Old Hag's beautiful prints here: The Crafty Hag. Thank you very much Coralette!

Heebee Post #274 - Karin Winter - Colorado Springs, CO - USA

The Heebee Jeebee Love Boat sets sail for a three hour tour of 4-D Jungle lagoons. The crew sure appears festive! And just get a load of the "Cocodrilo" Artistamp. Nice! Also seen here is a "Good Mail Day" sticker from the Pod Post Mail Art book - love that book!
Karin arrives on the Island with a gorgeous decorated envelope that states "I am an empty envelope, so do not open me". Obviously, she tries to fool us by throwing us off course for finding the prize within! - 3 minutes later - Well, guess she was right - good thing I scanned the envelope before I foolishly opened it, rendering it into a shredded mess! Heh - heh. Thank you very much Karin and welcome to the 4th Dimension. This busy Artist really has got it goin' on - find out here: Karin Winter Art. Very cool website!

Heebee Post #273 - Art Tower (Gunter Schwind) - Ashaffenburg - Germany

The wonderful Mail-Artist-Go-Round is a popular attraction in the 4th Dimension. You may recognize a couple of the riders seen here. Further evidence that cousin Arty does actually vacation in Heebee Jeebeeland. Imagine being suspended by a gigantic spectacular churning Alexander Calder-like mobile! Only in the 4th my friends......only in the 4th!
Nice to see you here again dear cousin. This is a great postcard - love it! Gunter tells me that he will physically return to the Island Paradise for troubled Mail Artists minds - perhaps in September. Looking forward to that! You can visit cousin Arty's Mail Art site here: Art Tower's Mail Art.

Heebee Post #272 C.Z. Lovecraft - San Jose, CA - USA

A lovely pair of mystical Heebee ATC's sent to the 4th Dimension by a popular ATC artist. These two are fine examples of CZ's work. Included in the envelope was an ATC Jam - set of three cards to be added to by three Mail Artists. I haven't seen the Jam sets around for a while - nice to see CZ still has it working. I'll add to the three jam cards and send them on their way.
It's great to find CZ returning to the Island. His envelopes are always super and the one seen above is a proof of that. I love that Intrepid Balloon postage stamp - I haven't seen that stamp before. The Intrepid was one of the first Military Balloons - used by the Union Army in the American Civil War (circa 1861). The new 2010 Olympics stamp is a beauty as well! We are nuts about postage stamp here in the 4th! Thank you very much old friend.

Heebee Post #271 - Eduardo Cardoso - Sines - Portugal

Shades of Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali - both Artists works were banned from their country for a while. It states above that "This work offended it's audience to such an extent that a mob formed and burned down the Opera House". And so this work was also banned from the entire 3rd Dimension. Good thing it knew where to go - the 4th Dimension is often a destination for such wonderful works that need a home. Oh. "That obscure object of Desire" - Bunuel's final film.
Eduardo returns to the Island with this great "Paranormal Mail Art" submission. Eddie is an interesting guest to have in the 4th and his view of the antics held here is right on the ball. Thank you very much my friend - nice to have you back. Find Eduardo Mail Art here: Paranormailart.

Heebee Post #271 - D.C. Spaulding - Lomita, CA - USA

Mail Art left in the 3-D real world "Posthenge" will travel to the 4th Dimension "At the first sign of daybreak" - according to the legend of the "Dead Letter Cult" of ages past, on the eve of the Summer Solstice.
"Posthenge" is such a beautiful way of Mail Art delivery to Heebee Jeebeeland. Welcome back to the 4th D.C.. We, here on the Island, are growing quite fond of the Spaulding style and are certainly glad to have him wandering about the 4-D territories with this fine postcard. Thank you my friend.

Heebee Post #270 - Miche-Art-Universalis - Merksplas - Belgium

"A picture from my Dream World in a land of Lords and Ladies between Butterflies". Looks like the Heebee Resort will be rockin' with this crowd in the Confuse-A-Tron Lounge!
Miche writes that the above Envelope Decorating Mail Call theme should be either "1001 nights" or "My favorite Fairy Tale".
This Mail Call asks for "Places" postcards - preferably of your own home town, city or village. No deadline.
Miche is having fun in the 4th Dimension with his fun loving group of friends - a whole entourage of "Lords and Ladies". Thank you very much Miche - looks like its party time on the old Island tonight!

Heebee Post #269 - Fleur Helsingor - Oakland, CA - USA

It is interesting that some of the new jungle huts are being constructed of only Wallpaper. As the 4th Dimension is becoming more understood, the standards for building codes here are evolving. The new Bohemian look requires no real structure at all . Mere definition of space satisfies those of us that make do on a smaller budget.
Fleur has the distinction of living in the City where I was born (oh boy)! Welcome to the 4th my friend. Your wallpaper hut technology is very much enjoyed out in the Heebee Jungle and banging on the drum all day could make you very popular within the Heebee Island culture. Yes, in other words Fleur, join the crowd! Thank you very much.

Heebee Post #268 - Servane Morel - Brussels - Belgium

"We all lived on a Heebee Jeebee Boat" Recording Artists "The Willies" make their merry journey to the 4th Dimension in luxurious fashion - with a song on their lips and a smile on their faces. They hope to find work in the Confuse-A-Tron Lounge. One look at those outfits they're wearing and I'm sure they will be a big hit here.
Servane's return to Heebee Paradise is making a big splash with the locals. I love Servane's work and she is well liked here in the 4th Dimension. Nice little carved stamp fish as well. What a large and fabulous postcard! Thank you so much my friend. I just heard on the News about a horrible train accident in Brussels today. Hope she wasn't involved. You can find her having Mail Art fun here: Letters d'Ailleurs and here: The Wonders of the World in Mail Art. Something in the mail very soon - thanks again my wonderful friend.

Heebee Post # 267 - Jimmy McCullough - San Francisco, CA - USA

Testing....testing.....Radio Heebee is now on the air - broadcasting from beautiful downtown Tower City - capitol of the 4th Dimension Territories. Modern 4-D technologies now filling the airwaves with high powered color. Color that will be making a difference in the lives of those on the Island!
The arrival of Jimmy's vibrant Tower Test postcard is a hit with Island Locals who were anxious to find out if the Color Broadcast of Love will actually work. As you can plainly see above - it is working splendidly and sunglasses sales are expected to soar! Thank you very much Jimmy. Find more of this Artist's fine work here: McCullough Art - He has a fascinating style. And welcome to Heebee Jeebeeland!

Heebee Post #266 - Giovonni Strada (StraDA DA - Ravenna) - Ravenna - Italy

Stowaways smuggle themselves into the 4th Dimension rather frequently. Here we see a happy pair bursting from their hiding place as soon as this "Cargo" crate lands on Heebee Island. Never has there been a more excited couple than these two upon realizing their successful journey!
Archimede Pitagorico (Pythagoras) is a fictional character from Walt Disney cartoons and comics (1950's), but this fellow looks more like Daffy Duck. "Chi L'ha Visto"? or "Who has seen"? Oh wondrous DA DA, where would Mail Art be without you?
Ginger and Fred also appear in the "Parade of Stars" at the Confuse-A-Tron Lounge. You won't want to miss this live action Famous Duo.
Giovanni's visit to the 4th Dimension is such a gas! The Island is honored to find the Stradada Foundation having a grand time here. Beautiful Fluxus work from Italia to entertain the guests of Heebee Jeebeeland. Thank you very much Giovanni - Where does Fluxus draw the line and differ from Mail Art? Great stuff for Islanders to meditate on!

Heebee Post #265 - James and Paul - Vallejo, CA - USA

James and Paul return to the 4th Dimension with this wonderful little booklet entitled The Films of Charlie Chaplin. I am a big Chaplin fan and love his movies and antics. For a brief part of his career: 1914-1916 he directed his own films at Essanay Studios in the little town of Niles, California - just a short drive from where I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been there many, many times and there is still evidence of his presence and that of cowboy hero silent film star Broncho Billy. Thank you guys very much - yes, Charlie is enigmatic (perfect for the 4th) and I love this little book!

Heebee Post #264 - Frips - Gent - Belgium

FRIPSPOST! Artistamps are very popular on the Island and these are a beautiful addition to the 4th Dimension's Official Collection. They are gorgeous and have that "other worldliness" that is highly desired here.
Frips also sent in these fine Artistamps as well. Island Locals can't get enough of this Artist as she is a favorite here in the 4th Dimension.
This envelope is a super example of what one might expect Heebee Jeebee post to look like. It has that far, far away exotic jungle look and feel to it. Very nice. I love this stuff and have a nice collection of it - she is a classic Mail Artist. Thank you very much. Find her popular MA site here: Frips Mail Art

Heebee Post #263 - Loumond - Girona - Spain

Island Astronomers stand silhouetted against an incredible 4th Dimensional sky that is just crammed with bizarre atmospheric phenomena. There is a lot going on up there right now and it is quite a show!
Loumond's postcard has different fabrics incorporated into the paint and pen and ink for a pretty surreal appearance. I really like this card - thanks very much Loumond and welcome to the 4th Dimension!

Heebee Post # 262 - Michel Della Vedova - Limoges - France

Strategists excitedly discuss their vacation plans regarding the 4th Dimension Territories. Most visitors to Heebee Island display a keen interest in Inter-Dimensional travel and are quite anxious to have fun in this brave new and unusual paradise. It's only a dimension away folks!
This postcard really made my day. A really great piece of Mail Art for Michel's debut in the 4th. Love that Limogesland Artistamp (are those two Pig Herders?) and those cool MA rubber stampings too. Superb! The Postman had already delivered the Mail, but came trotting back to hand me this large card that he had overlooked somehow - a smiling special delivery! Thank you very much Michel.

Heebee Post #261 - Art Tower (Gunter Schwind) - Aschaffenburg - Germany

One of the Oracles that stand at the entrance to the Dimension famous Heebee Resort area. This postcard from my dear cousin Arty is actually from a snap he took while visiting me here - in the 4th Dimension. Yes, he really did visit me last September and we had a memorable time of it. Hopefully Gunter will return this September (crossing my fingers and hoping).
Beautiful Art Tower IUOMA Artistamps (45 Tents). Sweet! Gunter is well known by the locals here on the Island and the pounding of jungle drums in the distance verifies that. Nice to see you again my dear friend. Find more of cousin Arty here: Art Tower Mail Art. Thanks Gunter.

Heebee Post #260 - Jennlui - Ottawa, Ontario - Canada

From the "Seeds of Awareness" grew Jennlui's "Eye See" into one generous amount of eyeball. As a symbol of the 4th Dimension, the Eye See is one of the Ambassador's to Heebee enlightenment and introspection of the self. These are mini artworks that were inside a tiny glassine envelope that was inside the envelope below.
It is certainly grand to have Jennlui wandering around the Island again - especially with her mystic envelope and "Eye See" eyeball staring at me (and you)! Lower right hand is the "The Mailbox is a Museum" statement that no Mail Artist can deny. Nice! Jennlui is an interesting and thoughtful Artist - with very lovely tattoos! Find her Mail Art collection and the rest of her story here: From the Letter Love Files. Thank you very much my friend.

Heebee Post #259 - Serendipity - Redondo Beach, CA - USA

Various Mail calls and projects posted on the Heebee Blackboard for Mail Art enthusiasts to participate in. Seren usually provides a fun list of things to do with her visits to the 4th. Click on image to enlarge.
Nice to see you back on the Island Seren. Heebee Scientists are figuring out how to respond to this current Artlist of activities - looks like fun. Thanks Seren!

Heebee Post #258 - Parys St. Martin - Durango, CO - USA

The majestic 4th Dimension ponds in the gardens of the Heebee Resort present to the mind scenes more beautiful than we are acquainted with, but are plainly perceptible to the astonished eye. Just drop a small pebble into the colorful pool for another new "Vision".
Parys is back in the 4th Dimension with this stunning "Waters of a Heebee reality" card. This piece is a knockout! Nice one Parys - Thank you very much! If you haven't seen her dazzling work before, give it a peek: Emotional Digital.
