I think Kong, on top of the Empire State Building, yelling "Happy New Year" with his screechy ol' growl - and tossing down crunchy, buzzing party favors at midnight - is a grand way to herald in the new year!

When I was a kid, there was an old cartoon I saw many times on TV. While a child was sleeping, the unusual wallpaper all over his room came to life and began to dance back and forth, up and down in a rather fanciful symmetry accompanied by a sort of goofy graveyard mischief music. All manner of mayhem went on until the sun shone again at dawn and the dancing pranksters rushed back to their original spots and the wallpaper became still again. It is in the vicinity of that realm that Heebee Jeebeeland exists.
