I love the wave-length that Cara's mail art frequency is on. Here we see a spirited woman racing by a startled groundskeeper, clutching her "Less worry, more happy" pillow, rushing headlong towards "Fluxus Beach", where everything is always perfect and relaxing on the mind. Can you feel her desperate longing to be there? I feel mine.........
Looks as if Fluxus Beach is a bit crowded today. I love the psychedelic ensemble that makes up the busy composition. Fluxus Beach has something appealing for everybody. One notable feature is the purple Owsley Bear, center, which explains the general chaos. Less worry, more happy - I'm with you.
A concerned Mom speculates on her daughter's escapades. Some beautiful metallic colored pens overdrawing that you can't really detect unless seen in person. (I tried).
If you exchange with Cara, please make note of her new address. It sure is great to have this funtastic artist back in the 4th Dimension. She sure fits in here nicely. I like the India Pale Ale sticker - is he opening a tough bottle or just blowing it out the old coat tails? Thank you very much Cara - I'll be sending something to the new address very soon. Hippy Dippy Mail Art.

Heebee Post #834 - Uli Grohmann - Munster - Germany
A quote from the Bible's New Testament is used in dark sarcasm for the three commanding officers of the 1800's U.S. Army Calvary Indian fighters. These incredible atrocities against American Natives are horrifying. From left to right: James William Forsyth - Wounded Knee Massacre - South Dakota, 1890. John Milton Chivington - Sand Creek Massacre - Colorado (1864). Patrick Edward Connor - Bear River Massacre - Idaho/Utah border 1863. Deep, shameful scars on the reputation of our history as a nation. Super postcard Uli.
Side 2 of the sobering postcard is a bit more lighthearted, featuring the 'Via' sticker "By hopping Jackalope" and Fluxus lesson rubber stamping. Thank you very much Uli, enjoyed it very much. See you in the mail!

Heebee Post #833 - Lorraine Kwan - Vancouver, British Columbia - Canada
Fearless artist Lorraine Kwan actually demonstrates her cavalier attitude with her terrific "Avoid the Vortex" postcard. No one can really be sure what kind of mail art stunt Lorraine is trying to accomplish, but it is certainly packed with very daunting danger. Good luck Ms. Kwan.........
Well, Lorraine looks perfectly at home in the suicide pit, despite the deadly traps that were awaiting her. I say, Lorraine, you've done it again old girl. And what a perfectly daring way to start off a Mail Art Jamboree for September. I love this card Lorraine - Thanks for being a good sport. Lorraine's mail art site is always interesting. Paper and Postage. It has been awhile, nice to see you again. See ya in the mail!

Heebee Post #832 - Sky City (Lord Fugue) - Hickory, South Carolina - USA
This large A4 sized Svengali Tarot card almost makes you want to do the controlling 'G-Skull's' bidding. Stare into the usurping icon's headllamp and see if you can perceive what the Skull is trying to tell you. Great job Fugue! Sky City rocks!
Why the "Fragile" and "Do not Bend" notation? Enclosed was an incredible CD that I am listening to now. Sky City is multi-dimensional as an artist and I love his stuff. I'll be getting back to you on that absorbing Demo Fugue. Thanks very much for the mail art and the music. See you very soon in the mail.

Heebee Post #831 - Martin Fernandez Rico - Santiago de Compostela , Galicia - Spain
Martin's debut in Heebee Jeebeeland is a curious one. I'm not sure who got this lady mad, but looks like someone is gonna get a bruising. Near the bottom, Martin adds "Podria ser peor" ("Could be worse"); which really cracked me up. Nice sense of humor Martin.
The reverse side features two green hooves that seem to be pushing the cover off the card. Also featured is the sticker "Mail Art - A luxury at your finger tips". Yeah, I like that. Also: "Santiago Dada Compostela". Nice. And did you notice something not quite right about this card? That's right! No postage! Seems to have made it here alright though. Thank you very much Martin, see you in the mail.

Heebee Post #830 - Stan Askew - Pasadena, CA - USA
Stan is a long time, popular mail artist and the excellent composition you see above is a prime example of his distinguished work. This postcard seems to have captured a sense of fear within the tangle of bramble, as if peering too deeply into, there may be no returning from the sinister growth. Fantastic card Stan - among my top favorites from you.
Side B of the card consists of some interesting imagery - The officer and his consort, both wanting to get rid of an issue between themselves and get back together. Or perhaps I am putting too much into this. The card does have an interesting appeal to it.
These two fabulous vintage postcards show off a pleasurable lifestyle had by the affluent in beautiful desert surroundings. Both are printed in "Curteichcolor" a chrome printing process. Made somewhere between the late 1950's to the early 1960's. Both are gorgeous and show off a lavish lifestyle
And two more for my growing collection of vintage cards. The top one printed in the "Ternitone Process" is a swimming pool for "Furnished Apartments for gracious living" in Palm Springs, CA. The marvelous bottom card is Bob Hope's pool, also in Palm Springs. Circa late 1950's - early 1960's.
Tweedle Dee and his companion both adorned in Stan's trademark eternal "8" sign decorate the envelope nicely and baseball stamps are a nice touch as well. Thank you very much Stan - I love your work and the vintage postcards are much appreciated. See you in the mail old chum.

Heebee Post #829 - Eduardo ZenDada Cardoso - Sines - Portugal
I have been enjoying what Eddie has been up to lately. His exultation regarding his stature as an artist on his website is heartfelt and brilliant. More power to you my friend. What you see above is the cover of a well made artist booklet that loosely translates to "Over time, a collection of works". I'm a little off on that, but not far off. Anyway, the entertaining 6" x 8" black and white booklet is a nice adventure into Eduardo's world of ZenDada.
Eddie had been quite active in creating 'Minimal' works and these days has evolved into what I might call "Minimalism Plus", as you see above. This page of the enjoyable booklet is a composition that works that way nicely.
Our Lady of Fatima presides, apparation like, over three children in this "Minamalism Plus" page of the book.
This was my fave of the lot. The boldness feels good on the mind. ZenDada strikes again!
This work was independent of the booklet and more ornate than the other work. I can never be sure of what the artist intended, but my observation gives way to a tombstone standing atop a mountain - a vision of the vainglorious ending of it all? ZenDada!
I love Eddie's decorated "Paranormal" decorated envelopes and this one is a soaring example of them. That's Big Foot in the cross hairs of life. Inside the circle, Eduardo points out the pros and cons of existence for the elusive creature. Nice job and thank you very much Eddie. I'll be visiting your website in the mail quite soon my friend. Paranormal Mail Art.

Heebee Post #828 - Joey Patrickt - Oakland, California - USA
This beautiful postcard sent in by Joey is a collection eye pleasing, vibrant colors that satisfy a part of the mind that, evidently, needed to be satisfied. The various exotically appealing women convey a sort of inner self, de-stressing atmosphere of peace. I'm feeling it Joey! Nice card.
To those of you who do not get around to going global shopping, you may not know what you are looking at. This is the "Bund' in Shanghai, a world famous destination for tourists and shoppers. The hand , fixing a subway seat, seems to fit in nicely somehow. We often get interesting cosmopolitan destinations from Joey and they invariably some classy places that I would love to visit. Alas......... Hey thanks very much Joey, loved the card. See you in the mail my fellow Oaklander.

Heebee Post #827 - Gunter Schwind (Art Tower) - Aschaffenburg - Germany
This handsome decorated envelope just makes your eyes feel good. Is it the cool blue? The friendly looking rodent pen pal? It sure is appealing -nice one Gunter. I remember that during Art Tower's visit here a couple of years ago, we discovered a basket full of rare, 30-50 year old, Ham Radio Club rubber stamps from around the world, in a dusty old Antique Shop. I recognize the interesting one in the upper left as one of them. We were quite happy about our find and so, we had to celebrate once again! That was a gas Gunter! Thanks for the memory.
These two characters seem like two Cosmonauts greeting us from a great distance away from Earth. Thanks Cousin Arty. I am enjoying the mail art very much and am about to send something to Germany quite soon. Sure miss my old friend. ARTTOWERS Mail Art.

Heebee Post #826 - Michael Harford - North Manchester, Indiana - USA
This classic appealing postcard from Michael almost has a "Squid Patrol" look to it. I've been sending out S.P. postcards lately, especially to those that send me something. The above card is fun and positive and denotes another era where futures were "assured". Not so much these days! The card has a good clean vibe to it and a nice heft as well, since it is mounted on thick artist board. Nice job Michael!
The reverse side of Michael's card continues in coolness and even contained the above stamp. I'm not sure about slighting the Postal Service - seems like some bad mojo. It is in a fun spirit, so maybe it's okay. And thank you for the kind note, I appreciate that. I have something else for you; which shall be going out tomorrow. See you in the mail Michael and thank you very much. Michael's mail call: The World is a Town..

Heebee Post #825 - Crackerjack Kid - Hancock, New Hampshire - USA
Long time distinguished mail artist, the Crackerjack Kid, wasn't fooling around when he created this fascinating "Celebrate Lunacy" artistamp sheet. This is really a gorgeous specimen of the genre. These lovelies are made of adventure, intrigue, mystery and fortune - the perfect recipe for Heebee Jeebeeland! The great colors take it even further to create a state of wonder for the beholder. A super job by the well known artist!
Also found in the envelope was the little Fluxus artistbook, "Cyberstamp", seen above with a few of it's pages opened up.
I have been a fan of Crackerjack Kid's wonderful artwork for a long while and it was with great delight that I pulled this envelope from my post box, as it is my first from him. There are some very interesting features on the entertaining envelope. A rubber stamping commemorating the 50th anniversary, U.S. Postage "Chicago Flight 1933", and a second stamping "Omaha Zeppelin" are fabulous. The Masonesque "Free Fluxus Zone" is also a splendid detail as is the unusual double cancellation in the top center. Thank you very much CJK, love this stuff! Be seeing you in the mail!
I thought a closer look of one of the little beauties was warranted. I wish I could have scanned and reproduced it here a bit better, but you get the idea.
What you are seeing above is both sides of a self portrait of the Kid. The little note reads: "Some Heebeegeebees comin thru for you too". Perfect .Also found in the envelope was the little Fluxus artistbook, "Cyberstamp", seen above with a few of it's pages opened up.

Heebee Post #824 - Wolfgang Skodd (Banana Underground) - Dortmund - Germany
The Banana Underground sends in this well-seasoned looking mouse trap with directions on how to avoid it safely.
Okay, what the heck is Wolf all about here? That is not a sign you see everyday. What Wolf is trying to get across is that the Russian female Avant Garde/Punk performance artists, known as Pussy Riot are imprisoned for two years because the Russian government did not enjoy their criticism against them. Hence, "Free Pussy Riot". Personally, I rather had got a kick out of their act. See how you like them (and what got them in trouble). Pussy Riot performance. See ya in the mail Wolf - And by the way, I also think they need to be freed from prison - not right! .

Heebee Post #823 - Norbert Koczorski - Diepholz - Germany
Sweden's "Postmuseum" has the reputation for being the finest Postal Museum in the world! Norbert sends in what appears to be a souvenir 'Postkort' from the museum itself (with notable enhancements). The postcard explains the "Stockholmia 55" rare stamp exhibit, happening there. I have always adored postage stamps and would love to attend such an affair. Nice card Norbert.
I love the altered postage found on the above panel - Stickman is hilarious. The written message indicates that Stickman is a "her"? I must say, it is difficult to tell. Anyway, both Fluxus Girl and Stickman have both expressed regards - could the panel below possibly be in their future?
I'm no Mail Art matchmaker and cannot foresee the future of these PO Box Icons. I'll just leave it at that. Who can know these things? Thank you very much Norbert - be seeing you in the mail. Enjoy the Stamp Show.

Heebee Post #822 - RCBz - Saint Clown, Minnesota - USA
This 'Rodeo Loco-Revelation' postcard stirred up a bit of deja vu when I discovered it once again in my post box. Roy was kind enough to send another issue of the his sterling "Rail Rodeo" postcard after the first one I received had a fierce scraping in the center. What a beauty! A prize winning re-submission by digital cowboy RCBz. The great color combo really enhances the fantastic Fairgrounds. The other side of this eye pleaser consists of a friendly note that explains him sending the second card; to which I say thank you very much Roy.
The envelope that carried the Rodeo card is decorated only with 3 of the Calder US postage stamps. I am a big Calder fan and so I'm sure I am appreciating these more than most folks. Gorgeous set that was hand canceled (all 3!). That, in itself, is interesting. Thank you very much Roy, Your work is stunning. See ya in the mail (sent out this morning).

Heebee Post #821 - Viviana Cernjul - Buenos Aires - Argentina
It sure looks like Viviana has a lot of fun while creating Arte Correro (Mail Art) with all kinds of mixed media. The entertaining components make for a festive atmosphere. Feel the fun?
A happy declaration of acknowledgement to the joy of Mail Art.
Viviana drew this unpleasant fellow. I can only hope that "X" is meant as a target on the skanky rascal. Sorry folks, I just don't dig rats! And I don't know why I call him Gerald!
Viv included this vibrant 2" square; which seemed to me like a tiny universe of color and action
Very nice looking traveling outfit for this large decorated envelope. The packet is adorned with beautiful first rate Argentine postage stamps. It was a delight to yank this out of my post box - Thank you very much. By the way, I sent you something today as well. Happy Mail! Find her popular site here: Mail Art for the world.
